Qwyksilver
Ammat Devourers: 1 attack at 3, 10 DV, and Horrid. I don't think we've ever had a Horrid soldier model before. Makes for an interesting front line or guard for spellcasters... Darkspawn Paintenders have Horrid. The Devourers were a nice model to playtest against. Horrid a few times helped them live longer. I got to see most of the new models at the FLGS yesterday afternoon. You Nerf herders have some beautiful new models out.

Makes for an interesting front line or guard for spellcasters... Yeah, now we just need some Holy soldiers. I believe that I'm not the only one who was hoping that the Justicars would've had this SA, but oh well. Haven't used them yet, but since they are 2-track models with Tough/2, I imagine that you probably want enemies to be able to close with them on your front line. And, finally, Khamsin Raiders, our first Cavalry grunt. 49 points feels a little much, but he is nicely fast, plus Raider, two tracks, and Tough... a very surviveable sort of guy, if he doesn't get mobbed. Actually, Ivy Crown Light Lancers are also grunts. Yes, they are. But these are the first Nefsokar cavalry grunts. ;) And yeah, I forgot about Paintenders. It's been a while since I played Darkspawn. cristomeyers
Aren't the Raiders adepts? Or am I out of the loop about another printing error. The card on Reapergames has them listed as adept.
ecs05norway
"Grunt" == non-leader/elite/solo. Perhaps I should have said "soldier" models, would that be easier for you to understand?
Qwyksilver
Given the recent corrections with the Data Cards, I don't think it's an issue of easy understanding. It's wanting to make sure information is accurate, which yours wasn't, since the Khamsin Raiders are Adepts, not Grunts. Grunt = subtype of the Soldier Model. Adept = subtype of the Soldier Model. Grunts != Adepts.
cristomeyers
Some more datacards up on Reapergames, Ammat, the Scorpion, Disciple, bout the only one that's missing is Ah'radivh.
spiritual_exorcist
I have to say there isn't a statistic block on that list that I don't think fairly highly of. Big Highlights for me: Sokar's Prophet, Dust Devil ( I had hoped he would be a cheap solo, but with those stats he looks a bargain), Ammat (Evil!!!! Would have been nice for her to get Horrid like the Devourers as well), and the Devourers. Pretty nice. Only complaint is that Sokar's Prophet, and Sokar's Disciples are too obviously the same mini with slight modifications. I don't mind when this sort of thing occurs, but I wish more effort was made to help disguise the fact (for example Malcolm, Brannor, and Broderick are all the same base model, but they look different enough that it doesn't bother me). cristomeyers
Ammat, Thoth w/LMW bandage x3, and 6 Devourers. That could cause some real damage on the battlefield...

Bulk up with a Reborn and some mummies or more Devourers.
RazorBlade
Right now my Ammant squad is holding 2 sokars prophets. This is so I can double heal my two walking avatars that are getting fielded, or ammant himself as need be. The squad also has 7 mummies and 2 herdsmen. I am actually putting ammant in FRONT of the mummies, this is because he will less likely get hit with archers. And since he is large my two clerics can heal him from the arrow shots from the rear of the mummies AND herdsmen. I think this makes me MOST happy, before there just wasnt enough fatima to go around, but these clerics will serve GREAT!!! I do like the Thoth sculpt a lot, and I would like to use him. But to do so properly I would sink about 200 points into him, so once I hit 1500 games he will see play. Ammat, Thoth w/LMW bandage x3, and 6 Devourers. Depending upon the others in my army, Thoth may get devine favor.
Melbourne Mew Mew
Side note: Upon closer inspection of Ah'radivh, I noticed something. He bears less of a resemblence to traditonal Saracen horsemen and more of a resemblence to Shredder from TMNT. Maybe Reaper should do a scenario putting him up against four Reptus brothers... I'll straight out say that I don't think most equipment upgrades are cost effective, and while I use them I try to limit them down to what I really feel I need. I'm curious as to what you would field him with to get him to 200 points as well (Moderate Magic Weapon + Familiar + 30 points of Spells? That would start to push him pretty close). dewen
If you take a weaker model and add equipment to make it similar in stats to a stronger model, the euiped weaker one will cost much more than the stronger one. Over use of equipment and magic is inefficient and expensive. I only use equipment to enhance stats or tweak a model's stats against a particular faction. It also keeps opponents on their toes if they know your army too well. Adding 100 pts to Thoth would be over use IMO. I really like the model stats and the sculpt of Thoth. When I field Thoth, he costs about 125pts spells and all, and he has been affective in all the games in which I deployed him.
