Storminator
I just have a few questions: Tips and tricks for using Lord Ironraven effectively? He sure is one big target. I recently used Ironraven to good effect. He's an arrow magnet, and he can't hide in with the troops. So I put a greater magic armor and divine favor on him, and pushed him to the front, with the knights in a line behind him, and the ironspines and Halbarad in the rear. With Deflect, Ironraven has a 13 DV, and with Divine Favor he ignores that first lucky 10. Since he's Big, Halbarad can always see him to pop some bandages on him. Then you crash into the enemy lines, First Strike and Mercy the first warrior you see, and now you've got chaos in the enemies ranks. I've only got 2 Crusader games under my belt (and not likely to get more), but that worked very well both times. PS

Brushmaster
So I put a greater magic armor and divine favor on him Yep , I give him Divine favor and at least Lesser Magical Armor . The points saved can be another Bandage to be used elsewhere if he doesn't need it .
drjsallison
Lord Ironraven and Marcus Gideon has to be the toughest pair I have had to face off against. The lady in our group uses that one - two punch and squashes about three or four grunts each and sometimes a leader before they can be stopped. The only save is if you can kill Halbarad before he can do too much healing.
Brushmaster
Have you seen the new greens here! A lot of Crusader goodness ! I love the Lady Kristiana figures , can't wait to get the pewter . The squire is a little small , looks about the same size as a goblin . I wonder if they have "Small" SA ? Another thought - I wonder if we can field an all Battle nun army ? I was really hoping the Lightbringers would be like the "main" army, with the subfactions being Justicars and Ivy Crown, and to get the Justicar bonuses you can't take Ivy Crown guys and vice versa. wrightjd
To revive this thread, how about post some armies? I'm thinking try to post a 1,000 point army and a 750 point army, more if you have the time. I will also do this when I get home.

mooseyjoe
but that horror has to land to hurt anybody, so why not just let the bony-boy come to you?
Doombringer
nice list wrightjd but...if i we were in a battle, you couldnt touch a flying bone horror.... thats not too big of a deal. as long as he's flying he's not a threat. i see your point in the fact that flyers with ranged attacks would be a problem, although that can be said for plenty of armies. my crusaders dont do ranged attacks either...
