Nanite
Oh no. You can't make me. I found an FLSG near my new job that stocks the whole line. I have to avoid it like the plauge.
Ranzadule
I've put Infinty on the back burner for a while now. My reason? It seemed to me that the same or similar elements to those who ran Confrontation's OP into the ground, are now invovled with Infinity. In Infinity, do you have any scenarios where you must cut down trees or run laps around a building? Are there lists upon lists of restrictions on what you can field, based upon whining on their forums? How long is the FAQ now? Confrontation was brilliant and lots of fun, but then the 'CORDS got hold of it and made it stupid. I recognized a lot of pseudonyms from the old Rackham forum and I see that there is an international ranking system and I think, "Here we go again..." AMIRITE? Lithian
Not really. The only common factor that I am aware of is that Corvus Belli has taken on some of freelance sculpters that did some work for Rackham. They have more in common with Reaper than Rackham, they sculpt what they want because they are fans of metal minis. I don’t see them in any fashion kowtowing to forum pressures. A competitive tournament and ranking system was more of a supply to a demand. The rules revision cleared up a lot of the more esoteric rules and has made the mechanic a whole lot “cleaner.” I’ve always been under the impression that they are the anti-Rackham company, they have been very conservative in their approach to the system, and if anything have been more the wiser (like a lot of other manufactures) and all the better for sticking to this type of plan. The revised rules are still available for download, as well as an addendum to all the changes. I would encourage anyone to take a look. Lithian
The new Human Sphere book is here! Early shot of the new Aleph army starter!
Nanite
The mechs look a little to much like Urban-War Syntha for my taste, but I love the human constructs!
NickT
LINK: http://theminiaturespage.com/news/546371/ Some art and a small picture of two models, but it seems the idea of the Shirowverse is going to have multiple sources. I'm in trouble because I buy near all of Warcrow's Japanese humans now ... Be interesting to see what the game might be like. Iain. I'm Probably dating myself here but... Is it too much to wish for some Minis based on Tank Police? or maybe Venus wars, I know not Shirow but common Huge Octo tanks plus Monobikes = Pure, 100% polyunsaturated AWESOME! And if not I hope Reaper can do something similer maybe via Chronoscope?
highpriestrsw2
I LOVE the look of this game but the minis look like a pain to model and paint. A game store near me (That closed recently) had a lot of them because the owner really likes the game so I got a good look at some of them. They were very small minis but the details were awesome. I'm really leery about getting some of them because I'm still having nightmares about how difficult similar small minis were to model and paint. (I'm looking at you Warmachine Menoth Daughters of the Flame!) I'm also not sure about buying minis for a game that nobody around me plays. Reaper minis are the only minis I purchase without having a purpose for them in mind before purchasing them. I can generally find things to do with Reaper minis. I'm not so sure I'll be able to do the same with Infinity minis.
Lars Porsenna
The only thing I can say is if no one plays around you, build two armies so that you can rope your friends into games/play demos in store, etc. WHile this is a much more expensive route to take, it also means you can play more since most people are willing to give the game a try. Who knows, if they like it, they may invest too. This is what I do for historicals (so I can have historical match-ups if my opponent doesn't have an appropriate army)... Damon. Nanite
Damon's right. Fortunately thewarstore.com keeps their stock nice and fresh, and at a good discount (figs are still on the spendy side). So you shouldn't have problems getting the minis.
Sergeant_Crunch
Been having a hard time lately making the debate on whether or not to purchase a couple of these just to paint up. I'd like to have them, but for the price I could get a handful more starships.

And yeah at Infinities prices you could get a couple good sized fleets of just about anything.
Sergeant_Crunch
"Enough starships?" I don't understand this strange language. Yeah, for the price of the two Infinity minis I was looking at I could get another of the small fleet packs from GZG...or some expansions for the Feds and Klingons, or some of those awesome Zandris IV ships...
