Broode
The 13th legion is also taken. All I can say at the moment is they are from Mars and they are a Tactical Legion (as oppose to an assualt or Standard legion.) Saint, is the 13th taken by one of the Legionnaires here on the forums, or is it a canon Legion from one of the books? Vanleron is a friend of mine and he was originally interested in the 13th Legion, as he is a Roman history buff and IIRC the Roman 13th Legion was one of the longest lived/most decorated Legions of the Roman Empire. The exploits of the 13th legion is one of the projects I'm working on. Its not currently cannon though... yet.

papabees
Does it really matter? They are all just going to get scrapped anyway.
Broode
Does it really matter? They are all just going to get scrapped anyway. Scrapped? You meant to say that it is very important and matters much for all enemies of the UTF to know the designations of the Terran Legions which will be scrapping the military units of their misguided and misbegotten governments and homeworlds
Broode
On a more serious note, I was wondering if anyone knew if there is a list or chart of Terran military ranks, and if so, where might I find that information? Thanks, Broode
papabees
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think the JOR 2 has them.

Broode
Here's a little of the 11th Legion's background I'm working on: Terran 11th Legion Nickname(s): The Black Horse Legion ; OPFOR Headquarters: Fort Irwin, Mojave Desert, North America, Earth, Sol Commander: Consular General Reinhardt E. Rommel Notes: The 11th Legion traces its history back to the 11th Armored Cavalry Regiment of the United States Army. The 11th ACR was most noted for its role as an OPFOR (opposing forces) training unit, and the Terran 11th Legion of today also fills that role, in addition to being a frontline combat legion. Separate elements of the Legion train in the combat tactics of a specific enemy/potential enemy of the UTF, and in turn train the Legionnaires of the other Terran Legions how to effectively defeat that enemy. This is just a little of what I've gotten done. More to follow 3/23/09 note:tweaked the H.Q. & CO

Aldyn
Hi all - Terran 163d Legion Commander callng in again from Montana... looking for some advice. What do you guys do to deal with folks that LOVE the Ritterlich Hunters Edge doctrine? My usual tactics are some combination of the following: a - flood the field with sections (thank you Air Superiority) b - abuse Orbital Insertion by dropping my Flight sections the 2nd or 3rd turn when they are committed, giving me a whole bunch more cards c - hide behind walls and arty the holy living crap out of them (though they now both have a Mastodon, so suckering them into CB would hurt) any other tricks I could abuse to pound them? I usually do fairly well, but once I get into a meeting engagement sort of fight, it goes badly for me due to the card-burying cheese I've been toying with backup electronics as upgrades in case I lose a recon unit, and using a fix-and-flank approach with cavs playing the fixers and tanks/scorpions playing flankers any other things I could try? outek
Some quick questions: - What's the average point values of your games? - What type of a selection do you have for models? Can you proxy? - Amount of terrain (minimal/average/a lot) and/or size of table?
Aldyn
Some quick questions:- What's the average point values of your games? - What type of a selection do you have for models? Can you proxy? - Amount of terrain (minimal/average/a lot) and/or size of table? depending on time and whether we are doing tournament style, best of three, or a one-shot, anywhere from 1.5k to 4k ish... most of the time 2k-3k I have a fairly decent selection of models (have a good variety of Terran hardware and working on Adon stuff to throw them a wrench once in a while) and I proxy if I need to terrain is fairly sparse to average (working on more) a few buildings, some patches of trees, a couple hills/rocks... table is around 60"x48"
