twjolson
Heretic! For those of you that don't know how to properly hold a mall (I didn't) here is a page that details it all out. http://wiki.urbandead.com/index.php/Guides...fence_Manifesto
Eric Swiftblade
I might as well come on up. Give Frosch a crack at me. I'm almost a veteran after Ackland Mall. That was fun.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted February 3, 2006 Moderator Share Posted February 3, 2006 I've still got some survivor characters, carefully seperated on the map so nobody can accuse me of Zerging. It's not all biting here.
Spartan6
The tour has gotten to Caiger Mall.. it's not pretty. The Z's seem to be getting in with barricades in place but I think it's more like they're beating them down and they get rebuilt while your page is refreshing
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted February 7, 2006 Moderator Share Posted February 7, 2006 And the Ridleybank Resistance Front has annexed Barrville. Posted elsewhere by a RRF strike-team leader: Greetings, fellow zombies! Long has our struggle been, and great shall our rewards be! Barhah! Today, the Ridleybank Resistance Front formally announces that it has annexed the central suburb of Barrville as a protectorate colony of Ridleybank. We feel that this is an important step in our efforts to achieve zombie equality throughout the greater Malton metropolitan area and is vital to the continued safety of the zombie motherland, Ridleybank. The suburb has now been officially renamed "Barhahville." Please update your maps and address books. Note that it may take some time for all maps to reflect this change, but such is the nature of beauracracy. All humans remaining within Barhahville are hereby ordered to report to Floyde Stadium for immediate devivication. Humans wishing to avoid devivication are ordered to leave Barhahville. Any attempts by any survivor groups to maintain a presence within Barhahville will be seen as an act of war and will be met with a swift and brutal response. This is our land. Lastman
I've been hooked on UD since November 2005. Glad to see such an active community here. Encouraging words for newbies: It's difficult to gain experience in combat at low levels so I went the FAK (first aid kit) route and holed up in a populated hospital and spent my actions on searching for FAKs and healing wounded survivors for a guaranteed 5 xp per heal. It's also a great way to "watch and listen" to experienced players and figure out daily tactics. Always save one FAK for yourself in case you get infected by a bite. Fire Axe was my weapon of choice until I had enough xp to make shooting have a good chance (65%) of doing anything--I hated wasting ammo when my chance of hitting was only 25%. I also searched Police Depts for Flak Jackets for each character (even zombies), and found ordnance while doing so. I searched Factories for crowbars too as a human, but they are only useful to zombies who are attacking barricades. My 3 characters are in the NW suburbs. A pack of 13 was really close last night so I wonder if I'll be alive or dead when I login. Where is the Reaperfan UD crew nowadays?
twjolson
Last time I checked, there was like 2000 people in Caiger Mall, and 700 zombies outside it. We might just have a slim chance at keeping this one.
Eric Swiftblade
Caiger seemed a bit boring to me. So slow to load pages. So I've gone back and retaken Ackland Mall.
Spartan6
Caiger is holding thus far. It's been ugly in the Pagram Library though. And the Ridleybank Resistance Front has annexed Barrville. He taunts me!! I shall chase him 'round the maelstrom and round Perditions flame! Sorry.. I can't stand lippy zombies. Sounds like it's time to stroll down to Barrville and institute a policy of urban renewal.
twjolson
Am I the only one playing this game anymore? Deep Roy and Deep Roy Q both died! Can anyone revive one or the other? They are outside St Isidore's Church in Darvall Heights.
vutpakdi
I stopped playing last week. Just got tired of dealing with the PK'ers and the relative lack of game change. The Woodthorpe Plaza revive point in Lukinswood was generally pretty good as a place to get revivications except when the nearby NT building was been hit too often by the Justin XXX PK gang. Moderator Froggy the Great Posted March 15, 2006 Moderator Share Posted March 15, 2006 I'm still playing, I've got Gankorak in the Caiger area, Lurchy Moonscar was last spotted around Lurkinswood, and Gakalath, well, his location is "Undisclosed", but he's with a Ridleybank Resistance Front black-ops team. Zombie numbers are seriously declining, folks. The dead need more players, so that this actually becomes a Zombie Apocalypse, rather than a Survivor Apocalypse. Moderator Froggy the Great Posted November 10, 2006 Moderator Share Posted November 10, 2006 Caiger Mall has fallen. That is all.
Baphomet69
Is anyone still playing this? I just found out about it from HO's post today. I just made a character (human, cop, name's Garl Garrity). I can't remember what zone he's in, spent most of his day's action points searching the Police Station. I've got two pistols with 4 clips, shotgun with 3 shells, 2 radios and a flak jacket. Is there still a Reaperfan presence out there? Edit: I'm in Brooke Hills. It's only 2 neighborhoods away from Havercroft if anyone is still playing and holed up there (I've only read the first few pages of posts so far). Moderator Froggy the Great Posted November 10, 2006 Moderator Share Posted November 10, 2006 The game's been through a lot. I think that Ridleybank might be a deadzone still, and beyond that I don't know. Most of the people I played with are over at www.nexuswar.com now. However, the Ridleytown Resistance Front is still a great faction in both games.
