mrgunn
Dear Vaitalla: I noticed that you posted some new paints and included Games Workshop Citadel paint color equivalencies. I found this to be very very helpful! Can we get a more comprehensive list of Reaper/Citadel color equivalencies based on actual color code (to ensure 1 to 1 compatibility). I am having to relearn all my paint recipes with the MSPs and not having the best eye for color, I find this very diffcult. A chart of Citadel/Reaper MSP equivalencies would be a big help, could Reaper produce one? [quote}Classic Browns Triad 9136. Walnut Brown (PP Walnut equiv.) 9137. Blackened Brown (GW Scorched Brown equiv) 9138. Intense Brown (GW Beastial Brown equiv) Regards, mRgUnN
mrgunn
Dear Anne: Psychic, hardly, just ask my wife! Perhaps you could make this a running sticky post on the forum? Many thanks! Regards, mRgUnN
Sergeant_Crunch
Cool! How about a comparison for MSPs to Plaid Apple Barrel paints Just kidding! Seriously, I was just kidding. Put the knife down. Please.
Enchantra
Cool! How about a comparison for MSPs to Plaid Apple Barrel paints I'm not Anne, but I actually was considering doing this at one point in time but stopped. To much on my plate and not enough time and I don't have the whole MSP color line yet.
Saint of Sinners
Ummm, are you psychic? I just logged on here to post exactly that!! I don't have the item numbers for the GW paints, and I know I've missed a few (which I'll correct when I have a sec, this list was constructed from my often-faulty memory), but they're listed by name in color groupings (browns all together, blues all together, etc.) so hopefully that will help. Without further ado... Bleached Bone: Yellowed Bone 9143 (due out in December) Who's your favoritest Anne of all time?? For those of you who use Vallejo Game Colors, you'll find these are fairly close equivalents; the Vallejos always seem to vary from the GW's they're meant to match, so it's hard to peg both perfectly. Hope that helped, --Anne You just made my CAV Merc Company very happy! Now if only you'd strench yer artistic talents and try painting a CAV or two

pestario
Blood Red: Clear Red 9094Fiery Orange: Clear Orange 9130 (out in December) Bad Moon Yellow: Clear Yellow 9095 Snot Green: Clear Green 9096 Liche Purple: Clear Plum 9132 (due out in December) Imperial Purple: Clear Purple 9099 Maybe I am confused as I can only mail order Reaper Master Series paints. I was under the impression that clear colors were glazes. Are they regular colors?
Reaper User Vaitalla Posted January 23, 2006 Reaper User Share Posted January 23, 2006 Blood Red: Clear Red 9094 Fiery Orange: Clear Orange 9130 (out in December) Bad Moon Yellow: Clear Yellow 9095 Snot Green: Clear Green 9096 Liche Purple: Clear Plum 9132 (due out in December) Imperial Purple: Clear Purple 9099 Maybe I am confused as I can only mail order Reaper Master Series paints. I was under the impression that clear colors were glazes. Are they regular colors? Clear colors are regular paint, they just glaze very well when thinned, as they are quite transparent. --Anne
Reaper User Vaitalla Posted January 31, 2006 Reaper User Share Posted January 31, 2006 http://theminiaturespage.com/boards/msg.mv?id=64451 a book of vallejo paint chips or swatches, hand painted. How I wish I had $50! Hrmm. I might need that...if I didn't already own over 150 of the colors. >.< Plus, with color matching, wet samples give the best comparison base. But very interesting that they're marketing that, very interesting indeed! I wonder how many they've sold? But I will quit my musing here, in order to not highjack my own thread. --Anne
Sergeant_Crunch
Hmmm, I wonder how many bottles of MSP Breonne Blue it would take to paint my living room...
mrbuddylee
Current in-progress equivalencies chart, on Reaper Matt's private site for now. Once we finish it we'll hopefully be able to transfer a version here to the Reaper site. But for now: http://www.thewolfhound.com/ww2 ..and click on the Paint Equivalents link on the sidebar. --Anne How's this coming? I visited and got a database error, but I'm very interested in seeing this if/when it's done. Thanks!
Reaper User Vaitalla Posted February 27, 2006 Reaper User Share Posted February 27, 2006 I just checked and got the same error; I'll email ReaperMatt about it and let you know. --Anne
Reaper User Vaitalla Posted March 9, 2006 Reaper User Share Posted March 9, 2006 Well, it turns out my Vallejo:Master Series equivalency chart was accidentally wiped off the face of the server. I will now cry and begin attempting to reconstruct. --Anne
