New Faction Starter Boxes

The New Athak is up in the Gallery and in the Data Card Section of ReaperGames also.

You are correct, one of the strengths of Warlord is non-homogenous unit construction. However, homogenous unit sales is far far simpler from a retail standpoint, and does not cause us to presume any ratio of unit A:Unit B. You may not need all 8/9 of a grunt offered in a boxed set. That's ok - We also sell them in 3's or 1's (Boneyard).

Either solution has advantages & Disadvantages. As it stands now, none of the 3 boxes that offer Necropolis models have any models in common. You may alrady have the Faction Book from 1 box, you may already have the CK's from 1 box, the Breakers, the Warriors, or the Leader or Elite model, or you may already have all of them and won't need any box. That's OK, too.

...and "Adept" is only a limiting factor if you stubbornly refuse to grow your army to the 2000 point level. At 2000 points, you can legally have two units of Crimson Knights, for example. Spike and I wrote out 2000 point Reven list last night with two units of archers, two units of berzerkers, their leaders and elites, and nothing else.

I'm sure she will add one of the Reven sets, just to add ANOTHER unit of these meatchoppers to the army, as it approaches 5000 points

Hmm . . I'd love to compare 2K lists, off-thread.

I've got no real problem with the way the boxes are being packaged, I was only pointing out that their could be disadvantages to the way they are currently being packaged (I'll be the first to admit that I think it is pretty cool there are no duplicate models in any of the same-faction boxes though).

But like you say Bryan, their are always alternatives, and every one has its advantages. Just throwing in my two bits, mainly because I'm a huge fan of the game, and I want to see it grow in popularity.

tho technically not faction specific because you can paint your miniatures however you care to, yes they include different paints in each box.

I would imagine there will be a few colors that will be generic in multiple boxes, like a liner, maybe a white, a brown or black, and a grey. After that I would imagine they will pick some colors most associated with skin color of whatever is in the box.

Hi everyone!

I'am new here :)

Anyone know when will those boxes be avaible?

And when would be new elves box? :)

The Reven and Necro boxes have just been released. The Crusader box should be out for the holiday season. Next will be the Nefsokar followed at least it better be :grr: by the Dwarves.

I'd expect the elves (I just don't understand why you'd want them) should be out by next spring or summer.
