Darkstar
Ananke This little sculpt has absolutely perfect anatomy and proportions. She's a might bit smaller than a typical 28mm fig, standing more like 25mm. The blade looks weird due to the dulcote as usual, but it's either take the shot with no dulcote and get that wonderful shine, or dulcote it and get that beautiful foggy effect across my smooth blends. Don't see it in RL though so meh. This one looks WAY better in hand than in the shots, she so's tiny!
Darkstar
Thanks for the linkage, forgot about the nudity thing, I've gotten used to the Jenova forums I guess. I'll edit the title.
Flowfinder
Umm. . . No link, no shot. . . I accept that this could be me and my eyes, but if not. . . Thanks, Flow Oh, wait. Found it. Yup, it was just me. Well, hey, I just finished listening to student presentations and am somewhat bleary-eyed. My apologies. Nice work, as usual, Darkstar. -- Flow

Sergeant_Crunch
I like this one a lot better than the Bladedancer. I especially like how well the color of the pants pair up with the skin tones.
haldir
love that skintone, very nice I've heard that HF figs are tiny, too bad wouldn't mind gettin a few of them myself Randy M
Darkstar
Thanks guys, glad you like her...I wish the pics were better so you could see what I see regarding the way she "actually" looks. @SC: Thanks, the pants were a tough call as I could have either done them in a fancy Arabian stripey pattern (fancy pants lol) or keep it simple as I did. I'm glad I chose the bold single color instead of a pattern as I think it helps to offset the skin really well and lends some realism to the already super realistic sculpt. Mclimbin
Looks pretty sweet. I'm glad you went with the simple pants, I tend to dislike the overly complex stuff. I'd prefer a nice pair of pants that are smoothly blended with a nice vibrant color than something that is covered with freehand. Too many times the freehand distracts from the mini Probably most contest judges and for sure most of the voters at CMON don't agree, but I think simple = more beautiful. :D Vry nice! I'm especially happy to see this girl on the boards, as that means you are that much closer to finishing my commission! LOL
Mourningcloud
Hey Darkstar, if you want to get rid if that lovely-yellow-fog-that-ruins-your-careful-blending effect, ditch the dullcoat. I know it is "industry standard", but as was pointed out to me at my flgs, it is formulated for model race cars. and even as far as testors products go, it is on the cheaper end quality wise. There is Testors model masters formula, which i have no experience with but I am told has none of the yellowing effect you get with crappy dullcoat (which achieves the "dull" in dullcoat by yellowing everything, incidentally). However, MY humble opinion is that if you can get your hands on floquil figure flat, you will throw out your cans of dullcoat and wonder where this stuff has been hiding all these years. Floquil is still in business (though I believe owned by testors) and I have heard the formula hasn't changed. None of the experienced painters in my area will touch dullcoat with a Gygax-ian ten foot pole (if you get that joke you are old school D&D like me) Its figure flat or nuthin. now go forth and paint, my little smurflings (posting on waaay too little sleep again).
