Spring 2006 Mini Exchange

I feel like Charlie Brown, standing here looking at my Message Box waiting for a message that someone is sending me a mini.

Deja vu all over again. ::(:

I mean it could be worse. I'm also waiting for my first pay check from my consulting company. (Who "forgot" to add my name to their bulk payroll check generator system.) :grr:

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, tzor, I , too, am patiently waiting. Although the enjoyment for me was getting to put the special touches on a mini for someone else, getting one is kinda like the "cherry on top".

Mine is finally finished. I'll be sending it out on Monday. CrazyMike3, I hope you like it! Sorry to keep you waiting. I have a bad tendency to put things off until I have to get them done ::): .

CuteButPsycho, lemme know if you need a spare mini done. I have one I have finished and could part with.

I'm putting on the final dullcote layers today, and will ship out tomorrow (the deadline!).

It is shipping overseas though, so it may take more than a week. I will leave it at the mercy of the US Postal Service.

Unfortunately, my camera is on loan, and I won't be able to take pics before I have to send it out. :( But hopefully the recipient can snap a few pics for the rest of us.

Don't feel like the Lone Ranger, tzor, ...

But I like silver bullets, wearing a mask and having a faithful companion. ::D:

You know many years ago I used to work on loan prequalification software for laptops for Century 21 agents. Yes I used to work for ... wait for it ... The Loan Arranger!

Now adays they don't even have those yellow jackets.

Okay, so today's the deadline and, as of now, I've heard from about half the people in the exchange. For those of you who sent your mini out by now-YEAH for you! Great job getting it done! I've seen some exciting things bouncing around. For those who haven't, please PM me within a week (by the 22nd) to let me know how you're progressing. If I haven't heard from you by the 22nd, I will start PMing you to check in on things. Yes, mine is done, no I didn't get it sent out today-but I'm going to the post office tomorrow. I had wanted to wait and see if my recipient showed up at Rcon (yes, I had it with me, no my recipient wasn't there, no I didn't show it to ANYONE) and then RL has kept me away from a post office for the past week. I know we still have until midnight to meet the deadline, so if you could PM me the sooner the better. THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!

Mine is sent!

My postal clerk says it will be there in 7 business days!

I'm one of those painters that never seems to finish a mini, so naturally, I wish I had just a bit more time with the fig. But, deadlines are important, and so off she went into the vast abyss that is the worldwide postal system.

I hoped I packed it okay--loose paper towel folded for bulk, then bubblewrap, then a ziplock bag puffed full of air, then foam peanuts, and then the box.

I included some extra bowstring in case the original one snaps off or something. It is a fine copper filament wire.

Maybe I'm just worrying too much...I'm not used to sending off my minis to a home far, far away.

I'm so going to be unhappy if anything bad happens to my fig...er, I mean their fig.

*Painfully looks for his inner buddah* -_-
