Moderator Froggy the Great Posted March 31, 2003 Moderator Share Posted March 31, 2003 Agreed. If you painted it, post it, and if, as Ironworker said, you use metallics on metal, we'll be nice.
Wumby
I'm wanting to post. I simply don't have a digital camera and my scanner will not scan a decent enough pic so you can see anything besides the basic color scheme.
Thumpernicus
Friendly Neighborhood Art supply stores have super-ultra-itty-bitty- fine tipped ink drawing pens that are great for making pupils in even the smallest eye recesses. They do a great job with eyebrows too!
SOldcorn
Best tip I ever received for painting eyes Paint the eyes first before doing anything else on the model. Thus if you muck up you haven't ruined the rest of the face.
smokingwreckage
Like Frosch said, your hands get steadier over time.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted April 2, 2003 Moderator Share Posted April 2, 2003 But still, painting them first does help greatly.
Greentuft
Or you could take my approach: Buy lots of undead and skeletons that don't have eyes in the first place :D. The first mini I bought was the Skeleton (2015) because it didn't have eyes and I wouldn't be intimidated by having to paint eyes on my first mini. But for eyes, I'm currently using a Sceptre Gold II size 0000, which is pretty small, but I'm still looking for a smaller brush.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted April 3, 2003 Moderator Share Posted April 3, 2003 You still have to do something with the eye socket though. I think that was one of my first few minis too. I still have it somewhere.
