So I've got enough unbased infantry for 6 light mortars, and 4 heavy mortars.

Neither are armored. There's no Bulky SA on the unarmored mortar teams, is this correct?

Correct.

Can I use either with HoK, I don't think so as they are IFM?

HoK is only for DA weapons.

I've put together a 3000 point list, keeping in mind the minimum amount of minis to buy to fill it out:

Primary 1: Armor

Revnant

Wraith

Thug

Specter

Primary 2: Mech. Infantry

Faction Hedgehog x 2

Rifle Team x 4

Secondary 1: Recon

Banshee x 2

Nomad x 2

Secondary 2: Flight

Ghast

Kikyu

It's just under 3000 points without upgrades, I only have to buy three more blisters (one more Hedgehog, one more Banshee and a Nomad Blister).

I'll replace the (small) Kikyui with an upsize Vindicator when it hits.

What do you guys think, not enough teeth?

I've been kicking around some Malvie lists, so I thought I'd take a look here. I think you've got a lot of punch in that list, but There doesn't seem to be a lot of toughness. Seems like, except the Revenant, everything has a glass jaw. What do you think of trying to work in a tank or two?

Thanks, I keep forgetting to check DV's and DT.

I want to buy Malvie tanks like you wouldn't beleive, but they're out of scale, and I really want to keep my main forces in large scale.

I would love an N-scale Hunter and Spike.

Ok, new list, I think it's legal:

Primary Armor: 2x Wight, 1x Revenant, 1x Wraith, 1x Thug

Primary Mech. Infantry: 2x OEM Hedgehog, 4x Rifle Team

Primary Specialist: 1 x Ghast

Secondary Recon: 3x Nomad, 1x Banshee

Secondary Fire Support: 2x Outlaw, 1x Specter, 1x Nomad

If this works then I'll only need to buy one more N-scale 'hog to finish it off.

WIP thread is over here: http://www.reapermini.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=26713

I meant faction 'hogs. I keep thinking OEM means faction specific (Original Equipment etc.).

A question though: do you think the fire support section will be effective, or do I need to add an EST model?

I'd say yeah, Fire Support models have a TC value of 2, but that extra point could end up being the difference between a hit and a miss. You could give the Nomad an EST upgrade for 40 points, but then you can't use both the EST and ECM Pod unless the section remains stationary and in the bubble. OEM Panther would be a cheap way to add EST and CFP, but it's only got 3 DTs and starting DV is 9. I'd say find something to proxy a Stalker until they're released. Little more pricey point-wise, but you'd keep a modicum of mobility as the Stalker/Nomad combo could use one action to move, the other to Jam or Target Lock. The Stalker has one more DT than the Panther, starts at DV 11, and has a couple decent anti-hard targets in case something gets a little too close for comfort. That and the Stalker is a Malvernian model keeping to faction produced models, which seems to be what you're trying to do from your list.

What if you put a Talon in the FS section? It has the EST, and an IFM. It's also got an ECM if you want that. You could also pop up its Piercing on the IFM to Piercing/3 if you're feeling fancy.

Well, that was the idea until Storminator suggested I put a heathen Terran CAV in my list! ::P:

I do have a Talon kicking around though, and since I decided not to play Terrans, might as well get some use out of it.
