Ivarr
Anyone else checked out the 1/100 or 1/60 scale Master grade or Perfect grade models by bandai? I recently purchased a few....think i am going to use them for 25/28mm mecha......i really love the idea of playing mecha in the larger scales.....has anyone else tried that? Since i found a page about some guys in Florida playing the old Ogre miniatures game in MACRO scale, i have been quite stuck on the idea of doing oversized games involving mecha (CAVs etc)
Sergeant_Crunch
Both tours in South Korea there was a small toy store that carried them cheap. I'd usually pick up a few, a couple actually survived the last move and are sitting on my shelves right now. Only problem was, the instructions were in Korean. Good thing there were plenty of pictures!
Lars Porsenna
Yeah the kits are pretty cool. I have one of the old snap-tites and a few of the new ones, and the quality is really something. I was floored when I first saw the process of injection molding that allowed different colors of plastic (without the use of paint), using multi-channel injection molding... Damon, and now all they need is slide molding and the kits will be the highest tech ever...

Balthus
Definitely a fan myself (just look at my avatar...), although I'm more in that 1/144th thing, too. I've already used Gundam models for a Mecha-RPG (I set up the fights as a tabletop game). As far as I am concerned, there's nothing that can beat a good ol' Zaku... at least stylewise! *ggg*
Frankthedm
I could never get over the copious hinting of Man-love in the anime. I might swipe bits for 25-30mm scale battlemech wrecks, but Gundam models are on my buy only for other's list. Now a Metal Gear Rex model kit, I'd like. FPilot
I could never get over the copious hinting of Man-love in the anime. You're watching the wrong Gundams. Try 0083 (with Mr. Monsha) or 08th MS Team.

Try 0083 (with Mr. Monsha) or 08th MS Team. is he talking about gundam wing ?? 'cause i couldn't finish the movie (endless waltz ??) even though it was a free on-demand thing. Jester
I started out painting Gundams about 4 years ago... was on the now-defunct Gundamshop.com message boards and still am a anime-modeler if I can ever find the time. Up until one mistaken trip to Chicago where a fellow modeler asked "how about painting some minis..." and that lead me to where I am today. I've got just about every MG (Master Grade) Gundam kit produced prior to 2003 still, plus a couple of PG (Perfect Grades)... and I've seen all the Gundam series with the exception of GundamSEED. If you're not familiar with it, check out the Message Board at www.childofmecha.com. Great group (mostly) of people still hang out there...
