spiritual_exorcist
My Crusaders are White and Gold with Black and Red Tabards (Or they will be when I get the red on them :)
Redfeild
I have not started painting my Warlord yet but I have some ideas. Darkspawn - Purple/Black Cruaders - Mostly white/Blue, Red, or Yellow depending on the unit Nefsocor - Brown/Ivory/Gold Overlord - Red/Black Necropalous - Black/Gray Reptous - Scales: Green w/ metalic highlights. Clothing: Bright Colors and Gold Reven - Greens and Browns Elves - Blue/Green Pirates - Red Dwarves - Brown/Metal Did I miss any? Most are subject to change but I'm pretty sure I will be sticking with my Darkspawn collor scheme. I have the Hond of Judgement for Crusaders. Mine will look NOTHING like the card. Hellsgate
Reptous - Scales: Green w/ metalic highlights. Clothing: Bright Colors and Gold that probably is the best way to do Reptus. I fined that my reptus come up well with a medium green thats a tuch on the aqua side and very light brushed with a light gold two give it a "shiny scales" look. there armour in a some what dark earth colour (e.g. brown, orange, morone), trimmed in a light gold. with the cloth done in a nutrual colour and a brighter colour on the edges, in my case purple. sorry if i went into too much detail
mooseyjoe
I have yellow green scales and red laquer armour on my reptus. sometimes they will receive a touch of blue on a pouch or something just because I like painting with blue. Spike
All my Reven have copper armour. I like how it goes with the greenness of them. The trouble comes when I try to tell which ones are in which troop when the whole green coppery horde charges into a scrum. The best solution I can come up with that won't take away from the eye-candy appeal of the miniature battle is to put numbered stickers on the bottom of the bases so they can't be seen while game's in play. Then I just keep notes on which ranges of numbered orcs are with which leaders. The same device could be used to keep up with which models are Stunned when they are in tight confines and can't be tipped over to show they're down waiting a Toughness check. Brushmaster
All my Reven have copper armour. I like how it goes with the greenness of them. Besides , when copper tarnishes , it goes green .
Spike
Indeed it does, though my orcs are fastidious about keeping their gear shiny and prettyful. Some of my ubers have a bit more colour on them, but for the most part they are a fairly limited palette. Somehow I imagine that there is an unwritten rule that no grunt should be more loudly attired than one's leader.
Hellsgate
Somehow I imagine that there is an unwritten rule that no grunt should be more loudly attired than one's leader. But you have to look at the tatical advantage of being able to hide the "kick-assed" leader in a groop of grunt But i don't think anyone can resist showing off
mooseyjoe
Now there's an idea. Paint one of my grunts super flashy and do his sarge in a subdued theme. Unless your oponent knows all of the models, they are gonna get real confused. Would be funny, even if it does reek of cheese.
