paintminion
Honest he started out as an ode to purple and teal and then just...blossomed. The paint pallette was very pretty. Here's my entry for the Katrina relief contest, thought I'd share it with people here. I'll try and get it on CMON as I tried to find one painted on there and NADA! Shocked me a bit to see no one had uploaded one of these miniatures there yet. Anyway, so far it's me and preFunk... I finished my entry in 5 hours, including primer and sealer. That means there is still time!!!! I also hauled in a fellow IMMP as he needed something to paint and I gave him my extra if he'd enter the contest. let's hope that Mark gets his entry in before midnight!

axegrrl
It was definitely a rainbow palette! And Mark's entry was posted shortly after 3pm.
paintminion
It was definitely a rainbow palette! And Mark's entry was posted shortly after 3pm. Glad to hear it! It was fun to speed paint like that, but more fun to bug Mark about hurrying. ;-)
SaintRigger
A sword named "Katrina" seems a bit grim. "It shall scythe down all in it's path!" I love the purples :)
paintminion
I didn't mean it to be grim...more a symbol of determination and courage...but I suppose it works both ways!
dargrin
Wanted to add that the graduation of colors looks really good! This is very impressive for 5 hours.
paintminion
I have witnesses that it was going to be a 2 hour figure...but I putzed with the cloak colors, and other stuff, and it changed to threee hours, and I swear eastman's chocolates distracted me, and it became 4 hours and well...I finally yelled Done! and it was about 5 hours at the mark. I swear it's the fault of the chocolate. And the sparkling White Zinfindel...
eastman
Although I was responsible for the (possibly) distracting chocolates, I just want to make it clear that I had nothing to do with the sparkling white zinfandel mentioned in the previous post just needed to make that clear. I think this turned out great for a 2 hour uh 3, no wait... 5 hour paintjob

paintminion
I just took a look at the contest results. Looks like 5 hours well spent. Check it out here My husband thinks so. He's always wanted to check it out, but we don't have the money for that ... he would have to stop buying Rezolution and Warmachine to do it. Poor man. I have to remind him that it's MY prize dagnabit!
