Spike
Hmm.... I think Crunch might be on the right track..but to make it convincing, you better pack your paints and orcs up in something less conspicuous...like a doughnut box perhaps. I heard a story once of some guy who had been cheating on his wife for years. He would tell her he was going on a hunting trip, though he never seemed to bring home any game, and eventually she began to suspect. Finally one weekend the guy calls home grumbling that he had to wear the same socks and underpants all weekend because she forgot to pack them for him; to which she replied.. ..."They're in your gun-case, dearie." ugluk69
Well my wife and I discussed it and it looks like we will be going (along with 3 kids). It will be cheaper 4 us to drive, but it is a 22 hour drive. She said she would drive during daylight hours if I would drive at night. Qwyk are you bringin the wifey poo?? Also how close is the nearest Six Flags????? REVEN HORDLINGS UNITE!!!!!!!
tabascojunkie
Six Flags in Arlington is about 45 min. or so away.
Sergeant_Crunch
Also how close is the nearest Six Flags????? Just a little to the south in Arlington. Not sure how long it takes to drive there, but I'm sure traffic is more of a determining factor than distance. It's right of I-30 if I recall correctly. Qwyksilver
Qwyk are you bringin the wifey poo?? OMG, that would be too funny. Ummmm NO. First, I think, if I called her wifey poo, she'd deck me Second, I can safely say, beyond a shadow of a doubt, my wife will never, ever come to a Con unless she is using the car for the day, and dropping me off or picking me up. Okay, or maybe, in some Bizarro world where I am a famous painter or writer or something and was getting an award. But like I said, Bizarro world. She just has no real interest in gaming. It's okay. I still love her. She supports me and my interest in the hobby, she just has no desire to participate. Third, the baby is due May 29th. I can't imagine she would even consider wedging herself into a small cramped plane for four hours with only one lavatory at that point in time. Actually, I know her response already, because I mentioned it. It sounded a lot like this:
ugluk69
Qwyk your wife sounds like mine actually. She is not going to the con. She will drop me and CJ off and she will do her thing with our teenager and exchange student. She has nothing to do with gaming either , but she likes road trips (we went to Disneyland, Universal Studios, Grand Canyon etc. last year with 18 exchange students....the trip from hell, but she enjoyed it) so the trip will be fun for both of us. Kheprera
Also, I doubt, seriously, that your wife's doctor would allow her to take off on a trip that close to delivery. I know mine didn't (which is why I missed the first con -- that and Thomas being 3 weeks old at the time of the first con being that he came 5 weeks early). Qwyk, you have one awesome wife. Just make sure you call her several times a day to check on her. I hope ya'll have a great time.
ReaperShaun
it looks as if last years after hours gang will be in attendance. Thats good news to me. Im undecided about taking my Reven... the 0-lords are already painted.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted January 17, 2006 Moderator Share Posted January 17, 2006 I'll have my Reven for sure, and probably the Moonscar if I can figure out how to make it convenient to carry on the plane.
