Kheprera
And for Mother's Day guess what I'm getting. I love my husband. Jerry's Art a Rama has it going for $61.94 with shipping included in that total. The perfect tote for ReaperCon.
prophet118
Not in small plastic cases, but they do have TRIADS. They come oin blister packs. yeh the trias system im pretty familiar with, the extra stuff is ok, i suppose... i was still hoping for more of a vallejo style pack... might end up supplementing with those vallejo packs
smokingwreckage
www.milsims.com had packs of the paints in SKU# order. Might just be a local thing. Personally I'm getting to like RMS more and more and VMC less and less; I see VMC completely leaving my pallette very soon.

Personally I'm getting to like RMS more and more and VMC less and less; I see VMC completely leaving my pallette very soon. m not endorsing one product over another... the qaulity of paint doesnt matter to me, not in this situation, should reaper start releasing packs like ive seen vallejo, then i'll be happy.. lets say: adventurer packs - City: 2-3 blues, greys, brown or two, reds adventurer pack - woodland: browns, greys, greens, blacks (earth tones) race pack - elf: few elf skin tones... etc basically im looking to buy some of the master series, but im not going to shell out the money for the entire set just yet, and the triads?... they dont cut it for me, i want to be able to buy a single back and be set for a certain styling... the triad system is nice, from a painting standpoint, but not from a logical perspective... im just not going to buy 4-5 triads and only end up with 3-4 colors i wanted in the first place... what i had been doing was ordering minis and letting reaper just send me samples..or ordering specific bottles to replace GW paints, or pro paints.... im looking to replace specific colors, and sets, when i bought my paints in the first place i knew what i was going for, if you looked at my paints you'd see 4-5 greens, about 6 different metals (a few of my own) and browns... with a few other colors thrown in, like a blue or two, a red or two.. i didnt need to have 8 different reds. like i said, i dont really care who makes the paint, so long as its a color i need, or want.. if reaper released an adventurers pack style set, id probably snatch it up, because research would hopefully be done to show what colors are being used the most for what.. meaning im not likely to find tentacle pink or some color id never use.. base colors are important to me, having 8 shades of a color isnt, and thats what would happen if i bought the master series base set, id end up with colors id never use... we gotta keep the paints happy by using them... unused paints get depressed

Well, Reaper already does that, in a sense, but only for Warlord factions: the deluxe faction boxes come with a pretty good selection of 10 paints that you'll need when painting troops for those factions using prototypical faction colors. And, the "Learn to Paint" kits are similar in a way. But, really, if you already know what colors you'll want, why not just buy the paints individually? You don't have to buy the triads if you don't want. From Reaper's perspective, I don't see many retailers having the space to stock the loose MSPs, normal miniatures, Warlord boxes, *AND* these custom packs which would cost slightly more to make (MSP cost + box and packaging cost). Vapok
Or go nutz, ballistic, or whatever you want to call it, and purchase a bottle of every single color.. heh... When Reaper relased the MSP line, that's exactly what my wife talked me into doing, and I did so as a present to her. Considering now that I'm taking up the painting hobby, best $300 I've spent. She also go the expansion set included. We are now into the issue of containers though. The Reaper box that she has holds the first set really well, but the expansion set of MSP's ... are in a gallon glad lock zipper bad. The $15 suggestion above looked nice, but the tackle box solution sounds interesting to me. I might investigate it further.
haldir
mine is this thing I got from Home Depot, pretty much a door buster grand opening special, it cost me like 3 bucks think. hold all the current MSP, the lid bulges, but it does have a integrated lock on it (kinda useless when the bottles are in there, but it does have 2 luggage locks (very useful when I travelled this year) near the handle, the handle is very nice & comfy as well, even for my gaint monkey paws I call hands. here it is (wow 10 bucks normally, got a good deal on that ) Stanley case I got at Home Depot not sure what I'm gonna use to hold more paints for travel thou RM
axegrrl
Link doesn't work... goes to HD homepage. Maybe link to just the pic?
haldir
hmm figures (dang you HD!!!!) ha ha ok on that page in the link go to storage & tool boxes on the left, then on page 4, item #3 on the listing is mine here a shot of the box the wells are pretty deep, you don't even really notice the bulge (those little luggage locks (like 5 bucks for 3 at Waldo world) are great for latching that down) (the lock holes are in the corners above the handle ( the circle you see in the grey) also the yellow strip on the handle is kinda padded, feels good in my hand, a no slip grip to it. Thou if I use this next year, I defeintly got to spray the lid grey or black, as I got oddball looks & even a airport worker ask what was in there, ha ha EDIT: odd mine says Workforce on it, must be a Stanley brand or so, but they are identical anyways if this works, here what the case looks like with MSP in it (this is all of them that have been released MSPs in my case (shows you how much I've unpacked since Rcon, ha ha) here the bulge I was telling you about bulge (sorry you have to see my bathroom floor, ha ha) also note, the lock is one of those luggage locks I was telling you about, when fully locked there would be 2 of them on there. Kheprera
Okay, H, so those links are, like, FORBIDDEN!! Or are they foreboding?
Qwyksilver
This is what I'm drooling for. Mmm, wheeled storage goodness. I rather like that bigger Tote Express II one a few further up. Looks like it might be good for sending supplies via checked luggage when flying. You could make some custom fit foam trays for that lower potion, since it's got hard walls, figures would probably be able to travel and survive intact. GreyHorde
A bit of thread necromancy, here... I took the 'kitchen sink' approach and tried this one from Bass Pro Shops for Gen Con. It worked pretty well, except for the narrowly spaced wheels. Occasionally they caused the bag to wobble on some uneven surfaces like sidewalk, rough streets, grates and thick carpet. It has plenty of space for small boxes in a lot of different configurations, plus the top section is fairly roomy. I did not try it as a backpack, but it was nice to have the option to extend the straps for hauling longer distances or over rougher terrain. Overall, I like it and it should serve for other driving-distance events. I am not sure how it would fare given the new flight restrictions and such, though, but I will cross that bridge if/when I come to it. Painfully
I use a shower tote. It doesn't look like much, but I get 108 MSP's (9 rows of 12 slightly offset) to fit perfectly into the bottom layer of the large tote. There is room for another 108 as a second layer, or you can carry other loose items on top. I carry about 30 extra paints on top along with a water jar, and any new figs I buy at the store. The basket's top layer gets unloaded when I set up to paint, but I leave the bottom layer in the tote. I can pull any one bottle from the bottom layer, and the rest of the paints don't shift or move out of place at all. It is the perfect way to carry exactly 108 paints, as every bottle has its predetermined place. I've got the deep Plano box mentioned above, and I still prefer my tote simply because there is no wasted space. It doesn't hurt that my rows are neatly arranged in 3's too. Cost for the tote is about $8, and you can find it at The Container Store.
Valmiras
Thanks for the tip! FYI, if there is a Dick's Sporting Goods in your area, I found the Plano 3730 for $4.
haldir
I like the shower tote idea, might have to try those out. RM
