I'm afraid to post this after that Fear of Girls Documentary on Elite Gamers video.

On page 184 of the DMG under the requirements for the Prestige class Dragon Disciple it states

you must have the "ability to cast arcane spells without preparation". I have not been able to find

an explaination as to when this ability occurs in the life of a spell caster (or a bard in my case).

Anyone fluent in D&D lore??? Please and thank-you.

A Bard or Sorceror are non-prepared (spontaneous) arcane spell casters. You qualify as soon as you take a level in the class and have the minimum ability score requirement to cast spells in the class (10 Charisma for Sorcerors, 11 for Bards)

It's someone who does not have to memorize their spells in advance, like a Wizard.

That's what I did. It's fun...

The STR bonus more than makes up for the lower BAB, the hp is awesome, the breath weapon is just fun. And the charisma skills have come in handy...I've got high ranks in Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate (which I think I get a bonus on for having teeth pointy enough to rip your throat out). I think I took five levels in hexblade, to get a second curse a day, and I'll keep them somewhat balanced, because I don't want to have 6 different first level spells.
