ixminis
Well, while my painting pale's in comparison to the other Reaper-Artists, I'm still doing my best to contribute to the Sophie Auction(s).... here's a piccie of my latest progress... no color as that would be too much of a spoil... tee hee!!! The wings were *just* attached and have lots of work left on 'em... the base has been started... but I don't wanna ruin ALL of the anticipation, do I? ixminis
More progress today... can you see the difference?
Vil-hatarn
I think the wings have gone a bit lighter?
ixminis
Yup! and there was an intensity problem between the right & left chap that I've resolved. The skin *has* been highlighted up one level, but the B&W picture reveals not enough yet (it's value is still a bit lower than I'd like it). I darkened the claws/hooks on her wings as the lighter claws/hooks didn't feel right. I also added a little bit more highlight to both knees. Oops, and I fixed the star on the right chap... made it look a bit less... malformed...
ixminis
Skintone is where it should be... notice that the hotspots are brighter than the wings, but darker than the chaps... she is a vaquero after all !!! Probably need to re-visit that left hand... now I need the basing material to DRY DRY DRY!!!
Qwyksilver
Wow Michael, she's looking great. The B&W images really let you see the progression of highlights. Nice and smooth. [TEASE] I know the color scheme [/TEASE]

Stern Kestrelmann
I don't even like this sculpt, but I must say that's REALLY COOL. Is this style refered to as Vaquero? Whatever you call it I like it... VERY NICE. SK
ixminis
Ah, Vaquero is Spanish for cowboy.... and that should give her skin-tone away. She's South-of-the-Border-Sophie!!!
Stern Kestrelmann
Thanks Mike. Of course, a Latina Sophie! This sounds good! Me gusta lo! SK
