Chaos Giant or Demon Giant WIP Updated alot!

Recommended Posts

I would say that the head needs to be smaller, about half that size. Go for a pinhead the barbarian sorta look. It will add to the muscley-lookin-ness of him and give it a really cool comic bookish feel.

look how small the hulk's head is compared to his body.

Thats nice and all but I'm not going for a cartoony look. It's bad enough that my style leans toward that I do't want to advertise it! Comic style =Bad. I can't stand GWs minis and it seams more and more my stuff is leaning towards that style...............crap! <_<

Just the fact that you are making this thing with a Hulk sized body defeats the whole anti-cartoony goal.

So, instead, you take what you got and go with it and maximize it. If you dont want cartoony, then start over with a proportionate sculpt.

Agree, the pose is asking for a roar, bellow, gutteral somthing, not a snarl.

what stubbdog said. The leaning back is very super-heroish, and so is the oversized torso. I'd say that this guy is either gonna end up lookin awesome and cartoony, or only semi-awesome and semi-cartoony. If i were you I would go for the comic book beast effect with this guy, and then try again for a "realistic" giant. Comic style doesn't equal bad, it's just different. Your beholder was cartoony, and he was my favorite beholder mini yet.

and that green guy definately needs to be roaring.

I now filed the teeth down broke one canine for character gave him big ears and a mustache (kinda like the oriental old guys in martial arts movies) I might make it more stringy I dunno yet. I will next add hair and then add some warts and freckles to match the body more. Horns or no? the next head will be like a lizard. Comments?

Unfortunately, yes, the head is way too big. But, atleast you are getting some good practice in. By the time RCon comes around you will have a much better grasp of it than the other beginners (like me - I signed up for a few sculpting classes).

ok here is the finished head like I said in the last post if this still is way off I'll change HOWEVER I still want to make 2 other different heads for add ons.

Also I think the size works better now as you might be able to see in the last image. Maybe it's still to big or can it slide? Remember I still want to add a tunic and body hair maybe armour maybe not. The head is on a wire and I put it kinda behind the body so the head would sit more down on the body.

One major question now that he is morphing into a satyer. Should I get rid of the body pimples and freckles? or should they stay?

Thanks all!

definitely gives me an appreciation for the things that Klocke, Guthrie, and the other Reaper sculptors can do.

This rendition is your best so far. Not sure I like it with that body, but I can appreciate the work that you have put into it for sure.

I might keep that head and use it for some other future sculpt, and go again on this one. Not trying to keep sounding negative, just doesnt fit the huge hulk body.

That body needs a shorter, blockier head, not a long drawn out one.

Well Mr. Stubbdog like I have said many times I want to offer 3 different heads with the mini. But Just so you know the body type will stay the same but the freckles and pimples are going

I have now lowered the eyes. Should it be more or does this work? I took an older pic and the new one to show difference. Got a little scared moving feature distorted the mouth so I made the lower lip swing out more. Let me know. Finally if this works I will take all the spots and pimples off. I will get rid of the nipple ring and lower the elevation of the nipples.
