Painting Raven
Hey Everybody, Just thought you all might get a kick out of this one. I used a new technique (at least new for me) on it. I directed the light source so that its not directly above the piece. To get it right (which I hope I did), I took photos of the primed figure with the lighting I wanted on it (and mirror underneath, thanks for that pointer Anne) and then printed the photos out to use as a reference. So, tell me what you think! Thanks! Painting Raven
Krztoff
Great job on the armor. I love this sculpt, and your paintjob just makes me want it more!
mlavanish
I like it a lot. Very nice. I'd love to see your lighting reference photos for a comparison.
Sergeant_Crunch
Very nice work. The NMM is very convincing. My only problem with this fig has nothing to do with the paint, I can't stand the frilly stuff coming out of the armor at the neck.
mousekiller
Wow. Simply wow. Great job on the NMM, the face, the frilly stuff, the cloak...
darthfoley
Really nice work. I think he might be too 'healthy' looking for a vampire, but that's personal preference. Also, IMO that cape cries out for some freehand of some sort (there may be some on the back, but I can't see that). :) You did an excellent job on a model I'm not too fond of, so kudos! House of Dexter
Like the work... A couple more transitory greys in the Upper Chest, Upper Thigh, and blade.

ecs05norway
Love it!!!, it rocks!! great job!!! any other shots? also i've been meaning to ask is where do folks get those round bases from? ERL Privateer Press is the company that makes most use of them, I think. They sell 'em in packs of 10 or so in a few different sizes. Angorak
VERY nice job.....I'll have to give that primered light source photo technique a try.
slidedog
Great job Raven! I've been playing with some of the same things. Your blending control is getting out of hand! I take it you are starting to believe in the Master Series Paints? I've forced myself to learn new ways to work with them and am starting to love them. Thanks to Anne for that too! Stern Kestrelmann
Excellent paint work! VERY CLEAN and SMOOTH. Extra cool. The sculpt itself is a snoozer (IMO). SK
