Mengu
I was hoping to get these big bad boys done in 10 days, but took me more like 14. They are a hoot to paint with the chickens, the whelp peeking out of the bag, the kegs on their belts, and all the detail. Sorry I couldn't just post the group shot and stop there, so here are a few more shots. I would have liked to smooth out some areas and add a few more details, but unfortunately I have other projects that beckon.

Sergei
Great work as usual. I love the free hand on the back of the spear case. Quick question, do you do the freehand before or after the shading?
mousekiller
Great job. Love the free hand, and the chickens... Where did these mini's come from?
mooseyjoe
they look great. For the life of me I couldn't find those chickens. I was looking for some white feathery little critters, and my brain just marked the cooked/brown chickens as pouches and kept scanning. Mengu
Great work as usual. I love the free hand on the back of the spear case. Quick question, do you do the freehand before or after the shading? I always do the freehand after shading and highlighting (when I say always, take that with a grain of salt, there are only a handful of models I've done any freehand on). Typically after the freehand, I will highlight it as well, though in this case I skipped that step for the sake of speed, deciding these were good enough for the average onlooker at the game store. I'm sure a number of non-average onlookers will give me a hard time about it. Where did these mini's come from? They are Hordes models from Privateer Press (their new game, compatible with Warmachine) coming out April 22nd. I managed to get my hands on some prerelease models which were sold during GenCon SoCal. The Axer was actually sold separately even before that at GenCon Indy. Mengu
Thank you for the nice comments guys. I love the trollblood guy that is suppose to come out in like May, cant remember the name of him right now, but he's a big dude with tusks kinda hunched over.... He is a Diretroll, coming out in May, and yes, he's quite awesome. How the heck are you getting these so early..? Just like any other blackmarket item, connections and money And is it your minis that they are using in their advertisements? Heavens no, the official ones are painted by Alison McVey (fluffy). Are you gonna be able to bring those to RCON for us to oggle? I'll be bringing a lot of stuff, and I'm flying so space is limited, but I'll see what I can do.
