haldir
ouch hope nothing serious was destroyed or mangled beyond repair after that mishap. I had a mishap during my model painting, I had 2 car bodies outside the other day & one was turquise, the other was red, well both colors laid on really well, but when I sat the red one down ( I tape them to filled water bottles used as stands), I nicked the turq one with the red one, right on the corner of the back bumper!!! I was saying "AH $($(#" (as bright red really shows up on turq)!!! anyways, I calm down & inspected the dmg on the red one, it was on the tape skirt I did to cover the interior color, so no harm there & then remembered that the back of the turq one would be black, even bigger relief. both car bodies came out great in the end, so hopefully my good fortune is passed upon you. my projects for ReaperCon---one word---SLOW RM

Spike
Strange how time flies when you least want it to. I started a project for the mini-swap, my first time trying this particular thing and I was very nervous about my innate ability to not realize I've put the wrong parts in the wrong places until well after the glue has set... but... ANYHOO the thingie I made came out so groovy that I wanted to make some more thingies...and my afternoon went bye-bye before I could do laundry or dishes or update my webcomic or anything else...and now it's late and I have a huuuuge mess to clean up. Umm.. Aileen's Tacky Glue IS water-soluable..right?

Shakandara
Last friday Paint Night, that was me. Really. And I'm only doing one miniature. Satin effects are heck. See, this is why I don't paint. I like my life to be reasonably free of stress at home (I get enough pressure during the day at the office), so I let other people do my painting for me. When someone like Sue is going all Hulk-crazy about her work (I've seen her work and I'm positive that even on my best day, Sue's speed-painting would be better than a 40+ hour paintjob by me), that's just way too much stress. I wish you all the best of luck and look forward to admiring your entries. *gets as far as possible from any brushes and paint as he can* ~v
paintminion
Hey, Jester, you need some earplugs? Here you go... Someone slow down Derek for me! I can't beat him at Speed Painting, do I even have a chance here? Meanwhile...Wings prepped to paint tonight! After I fix my auction mini. :-( It has a boo boo that needs fixing right quick. So...still painting...and anyone who doesn't get a pretty handout for my classes--you'll know why. Too obsessive about this figure!
Patrick
Well, I was planning on only entering one figure in the single category and have been paracticing painting other figures for the last month in preparation for it. But after a little shopping at the Asylum last weekend, I now have stuff for a few other categories and even (gasp!) CAV! They have not even experienced the ritual of opening yet, either. Plus I'm painting some studio samples for a couple more of our upcoming releases, casting resin bases, painting, completing a sculpting commission, painting, seeing Silent Hill, painting, making more molds, painting, drooling over my HORDES arrivals, oh and did I mention painting? I can't wait to see what everyone else's been working on!
Sharky
Greenstuff work on main project about 80% done - would have finished it last night, but some friends talked me into playing D&DO instead (I'm so weak). Note to self: It's a bad idea to consider changing painting styles 2 1/2 weeks before ReaperCon - if I haven't done NMM for the past 20 years of painting, I'm not likely to pick it up in the next 16 or so days...I also get to play groomsman in Austin this weekend, so this weekend is pretty much shot, painting-wise. Flit
Got my mini re-primered last night! Doesn't look too good for painting tonight though
paintminion
The wings are getting stripped today. The first time I have ever had to strip a mini part before. But painting last night at The Game Escape, I finished the rest of the figure at least, even without chocolate. So now I need wings repainted, attached, and base the figure! I even worked on my class handout yesterday. :-) [Mini Painting] Life is much better today.
keshley
Got mine done yesterday. Good thing mine doesn't have tons of details attached to the figure. I'm gonna finish up my back up mini - and then toss a coin to decide which one to enter -- Lili
