Erion
Now, now. I happen to have two entire 40k armies without skulls on any of the Models. Tau and Eldar.
Outkast Samurai
Now, now. I happen to have two entire 40k armies without skulls on any of the Models. Tau and Eldar. Psst. Erion. The skulls are under the helmets
Lars Porsenna
Now, now. I happen to have two entire 40k armies without skulls on any of the Models. Tau and Eldar. No Dark Reapers or Death Jesters in your army? Damon.
smokingwreckage
The Dire Avenger faceplate was a stylised skull too, wasn't it?
Lars Porsenna
Sort of, yeah... Damon, noticing skulls on GW figures in the most unlikely places...
Nanite
Now, now. I happen to have two entire 40k armies without skulls on any of the Models. Tau and Eldar. No Kroot in the Tau force?
Erion
NO Harlies at all and no dark reapers. And the skull on the Kroot are entirely optional. I opted for the rack of ribs and partially eaten human thigh.
Nanite
Ribs! That's what I'm hungry for, ribs! Also: I can't help picturing the Ritterlich Eagle fighter as anything other then an Imperial Lightning:
Erion
I have not even looked at Aeronautica Imperialis. Mostly because I can't bring myself to pay $90 for a Frakkin' rulebook, let alone the exorbitant costs of the Epic-Scale Tau models.
Sergeant_Crunch
Pretty much as soon as I see ForgeWorld associated with anything I write it off as too expensive.
Erion
I can justify some forgeworld stuff. Their spiffy terminator sprues for the Space wolves, for example, or the exquisite Eldar Avatar which was supposed to be a GW metal model until they decided they couldn't be bothered. But I priced out 2000 points worth of their Epic Tau one time and I actally felt pain from my wallet. It was in excess of $500. I can field a 2000 point 40k for Tau for less than that. I also can't bring myself to buy any of the really big stuff. Which is why I really want the rumors of the plastic revenant Titan to be true... Nanite
Forgeworld is the Dolce & Gabbana of miniatures. I'm greatful for the plastic piranha.
Erion
Indeed. I was even able to score 2 of the buy-2-get-1-free Piranha boxes which gave me a full squadron plus an entire sprue for extra bits for less than $100, given my "he buys way too much stuff from us" discount at the FLGS. I also grabbed one of the buy-2-get-1 Warwalker boxes. I was stunned to find one on the shelves in January, almost two months after they were released. Wonder why it didn't sell? I love 'em!
