Lars Porsenna
First its one space marine here, then another there. Pretty soon you have a battle company in the livery of your favorite chapter. That's how I got my Salamanders... And it doesn't stop there! Next its Chaos Space Marines! I turned around the other day, and found I had playable units in the colors of Alpha Legion, World Eaters, and (largest of them all) Iron Warriors. Damon. Pretty soon you have a battle company in the livery of your favorite chapter. That's how I got my Salamanders... So true. Someone posted these on Frothers: After that. I bought an old blister of Grey Hunters (beakies), only $6! I'm going to paint them as Marines Errant. Then I bought Mcragge (just for the terrain and the 'nids. Really!) Now I want to get AoBR, and the Spearhead, and do a Howling Griffons force too. Oh wait. Wait. I've got some old Viridian shock marines somewhere. Yes, must find those. Almost as good as space marines. NO! BETTER! No sculls to shave off.
SaintRigger
SKULLZ!!! hehe the Red Scorpions are making a comeback through Forgeworld.

Or you could make me an offer on my Marine's Errant
Nanite
Or you could make me an offer on my Marine's Errant Ooooh! Have pics? Retro Space Marines are the new black!
kristof65
Or you could make me an offer on my Marine's Errant Ooooh! Have pics? Retro Space Marines are the new black! No pics of the figs themselves. I'll try and take some later and post them - remind me if you don't see them in a couple of weeks. I'll warn you, they were among the first things I painted, so they aren't pretty. I was mostly joking about selling them, too. If I sold them, I'd probably wind up feeling compelled to paint more at sometime, which would ultimately make my shelf of shame bigger. Lars Porsenna
Opionions differ...I can't think of too many UM figures I actually like... Besides which, I justify the skulls as honorifics to the Emperors sacrifice... Damon.
Nanite
Opionions differ...I can't think of too many UM figures I actually like... I mean the old I-Kore Void ones, which look like store brand Space Marines to me (removed the skulls and passed on the savings!): http://www.scotiagrendel.com/11161_assault_marines.jpg I was mostly joking about selling them, too. If I sold them, I'd probably wind up feeling compelled to paint more at sometime, which would ultimately make my shelf of shame bigger. No, you don't want to do that. So what's up with Imperial guard? I keep hearing plasitc greatcoat rumors again, but I think it's just wishful thinking (again).
Lars Porsenna
They have a passing resemblance, but don't look even half as good. And at 2.50 GBP twice as expensive as a plastic marine! Damon.
Nanite
Stop trying to alk me into new Marines, darn you! They are JUST. AS. GOOD. Better, even, since I got em cheap (really cheap) on ebay when Void went pfffft.
Nanite
So I had the Space Marine Spearhead in my hands yesterday, when I stopped by the FLSG for a chronoscope fix. I was strong, and resisted!
Lars Porsenna
Only a matter of time... Damon.
Nanite
Quiet you! But yeah, I'm probably going to call The Warstore and see if they have it at a 20% discount (FLSG offers 10%). I keep doing the math on it. I wan't to keep the Big Dumb Cannon and Big Dumb Techmarine, Chronus, Scout Sergeant, Drop Pod, and Both sets of Sternguard. I can ebay (or trade) the bikes, the other two characters, and the codex. Lowballing ebay, that's about $120 for $190 (retail) worth of stuff. The FLSG still has a Vostryoan Platoon boxed set too. Those things are getting hard to find. I did spend $10 on Willy Brassbender, and another Sligg.
Lars Porsenna
I'm calling the Warstore tomorrow too! But I'm just getting a GW case... Damon.
SaintRigger
Say "HI" to the war store people and tell them the HMGS painting staff misses them :)
