Nanite
Yeah, the whole "space-gothic" theme was one of the (many) reasons I started looking elsewhere for minis and games. I don't mind the asthetic, and I really like things like the Ramillies Starfort. I just wish GW didn't translate Gothic=skulls.
smokingwreckage
Gothic = skulls, tough = skulls, bad = skulls, heroic = skulls, skulls = skulls....
SaintRigger
I like purity seals as well... with little skulls embedded in the wax.
smokingwreckage
A skull shaped helmet with a skull emblem, purity sealed with a teeny little skull. It's like a Russian doll, only it's a skull.... ...actually, that'd be a hell of a fine conversation piece, the Russian Skull Doll.... SaintRigger
What I didn't know was that the winged skull is actually an old christian symbol (particularly among puritans, I believe) taht represented the ascension of the soul from the mortal body. Little bit o' trivia for you.
Sharky
I just wish GW didn't translate Gothic=skulls. And spikes - lots and lots of spikes (Chaos side, anyways).
Nanite
Gothic = skulls, tough = skulls, bad = skulls, heroic = skulls, skulls = skulls.... Eight year old boy drawing in the margins of his mathbook = skulls. In non-skull 40k. A picture of the new Eldar Warwalkers is floating around. They look kinda cool, any idea the price? ecs05norway
Knowing GW? Probably a five-pack for $65 US.
Nanite
Knowing GW? Probably a five-pack for $65 US. No way, that seems reasonable!
Erion
Pretty much what I was thinking. The current model (which is all metal) retails for $35 each. I wouldn't expect the new Plastic one to go for less than $20-25 each.
ecs05norway
Oh, hadn't looked at the original. Thought it was a normal human-size figure. My random guess is: Too Goddamn Much.
Nanite
I kinda sorta have to buy this: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/pirtx42.htm
SaintRigger
That is pretty sweet. I'm all fired up about the IG stuff, like the command squad, the vets, the drop troopers and the drop troopers heads. The tech servitor and the inquisitor are both really neat too. Not so sure about the servo-skull with the bog-roll. That big space marine, however. If I had tons of spare cash..... Lars Porsenna
I just wish they did more large-scale Eldar... 120mm Fire Dragons....mmmmm.... Damon.
Naughty Tentacle Monster
Anyone seen the imperial city buildings? They're mostly ruins, but I kinda like the accessories (lights and such). The skull-jambed alcoves are still a turnoff. GW scuptors are required to have at least three skulls on all of their greens. -NTM
