Genie, Loresmistress and Praying Paladin OH MY!

The first time I saw the new Tristan Loremistress I thought she looked windy. ::D: So I invisioned a cloudy sky pattern on the back of her skirt, easier to invision then implement hehe. I also tried to make the grasses all kinda lean the same direction as her hair and skirt, to further imply wind blowing. The staff was very smooth and sang out Ash wood to me. I think it came out pretty good. The eyes on her gave me fits for some reason, I finally just got them to as good as I felt I could and left em at that!

Hassan the Genie was one of my two entries for the "Something Blue" contest. He's a big fella and was fun to paint. I think I'm going to end up getting another to paint in another scheme that's NOT blue ::D:

The Praying Paladin was my 2nd "Something Blue" entry. It tied for 2nd place! I was surprised too. I tried my best not to count the votes as the contest was going and it made me a bit nuts  But I wanted it to be a surprise for myself. I know this is a little backwards from how its usually done, but I intend to send this one to my painting exchange recipient ::D: But I'm not going to say who it's going to. hehe. I'm taking it to ReaperCon as some people have asked to look at it, then I'll ship it off the next week. (this means that, to my knowledge, the recipient is not an RCon attendee, so that will narrow down the suspicions  )

Lightnut: For the genie skin I used the RMS grey blues triad: Midnight Blue, Twilight Blue and Snowshadow. I used the blue liner for really deep deep shadows, and added some Ghost White to the snowshadow to make the topmost highlights.

Beachbaker: Thank ya ::D: I hadn't noticed the effect on her shirt, but it does come out a little nmm'ish doesn't it.

Nice work, Leanne. I'm not personally a fan on the kneeling paladin mini, but this is the second time I've seen one done well enough to make me reconsider getting one for myself. Of course, now I also know who to send it to to have it painted... ;)

Beautiful minis, Skavenbabe. I really like the cloud freehand on Tristan. Her staff is cool and you did a great job on the skin. I might humbly suggest an additional highlight on her hair and wand.

Congrats on the second place win in the Something Blue contest! I liked both these entries--I think the genie got one of my votes. Well done!
