Matt's got the sculpting skills to be able to nit-pick and provide constructive criticism.

While I agree I must say that I don't think that sculpting skill should necessarily be necessary to provide constructive criticism. Some people simply have a very good "eye" for it. The term "I couldn't do better" is one of the most superfluous I've ever heard. It's not allways necessarily a fact that a great artist is great at formulating constructive critique and it is not necessarily a fact that a crappy artist doesn't have a lot of constructive (and valuable) criticism to offer.

Just wanted to say this as a sort of "All you nonsculptors, don't be scared to offer constructive criticism!".

I've stated elsewhere that I'm a great fan of your dwarves SIGIL, and definitely a potential customer. Tamiya putty seems hard to get hold of here in Sweden though and on the web I only seem to find american retailers as well otherwise I'd love to give that a try as well.

Yeah tamiya is difficult to get a hold of for me as well. i am just lucky that my local hobby shop stocks it regularly. And Bodhi is 100% dead on. There is no magic in art. ANYONE can learn to do what anyone else can so never say that you could never do better. Hell, go to CMON and look up my user name and have a look at my first sculpts. they are atrocious!! lol.

I am a big fan of dwarves and really enjoy painting them. I think these are some really great sculpts and would definately buy them. The ogre too! I like the beards on them as they set them apart from other dwarf sculpts. Please let us know when they are going to be available.

I just stumbled upon these and I'm impressed. The sculpting looks very clean and the body proportions are good. I like it that they don't have stumpy legs like so many dwarf minis on the market. I particularly like the two with long hair - I don' t personally care for the bald dwarf look.

I have to agree with Gubser that the hands on the fellow with the two-handed sword look a bit off. But that's a pretty minor quibble. There are some commercially successful sculptors who sculpt hands that look like bunches of sausages. ::):
