Patrick
It's great to see other folk's workspaces, especially to try and determine what they are working on! We tiled our "dining" room a few years back since we never really dined in there. Here is Vicky's work area: And here is where I sculpt and paint directly opposite her: We have rolly office chairs and constantly scoot back and forth the get feedback from each other. drjsallison
Why does Vicky get all the paints?
Patrick
She needs as much help as she can get! **SMACK!!!** Ow! I typically swipe stuff from the rack whenever I need something that I'm not disposed to mix myself.
Grimjack
Patrick, out of curiousity what is the oxygen tank in the first pic used for?
neshenti
Okay, I'm feeling the Tiered Paint Caddy Envy again. This ends now. ( : cyber-stomps over to TheWarStore.com* : ) -Tom (* Edited: Micro-Mark.com was changed to TheWarStore.com; apparently the former wasn't feeling the caddy love this afternoon)

MM (no, not "Metallic Metal") has a lot of specialist goodies for the mini freak enthusiast, but the e-store navigation could use some polishing. I didn't find a caddy there, however, so I'm going to nab one from this site instead: http://www.thewarstore.com/paintierpaintstorage.html -Tom
drjsallison
It says it holds 80 paint pots. Anyone know how that translates to MSP squeeze bottles?
ladystorm
I have 30 MSP paints in the grooved slot. Four tiers times thirty would be 120 plus the interior flat space can hold even more.... I have my entire MSP collection spread out over a 4 tier painter and a 2 tier paintier with plenty of room for future releases. Patrick
Patrick, out of curiousity what is the oxygen tank in the first pic used for? It's oxygen V uses to revive me when I see what my stuff has bagged on feedBay. Actually it's CO2 and is used to power my airbrushes when I muster up enough effort to spray something with them. I have a Badger 150, a 250 and one of the Aztek things. Makes a lot less noise than my rattly compressor which has been relegated to the garage for tire inflation duty. We love our little paint rack do-dads. I just added the two new shelves to the main rack last week when we got in the new 18 MSP release. As stated, each shelf holds 30 MSP bottles. The 6-shelf stack on V's bench holds the whole line up to this point with 18 slots to spare for the next release. After that I will start adding more on to my rack as my color choice expands. All of the bottles on my top shelf are either custom mixes or "other brands" I don't even use anymore. I guess they are there for nostalgic reasons. haldir
Hey Patrick are those the Painter series (just hacked up & redesigned)??? if so how did you get that thing to stablized with that many tiers on it, tried stickin a 4 + a 2 together one time & it leaned over worse then no base or little based minis I like the Painter series but with the MSP there is some wasted space, espically near the top layers. I kinda like the way they were done at Reapercon, but not sure if I want to go that route yet or not. (paints filled the empy areas.) prophet118 said--- he slots or spacers whatever, will hold GW paint pots and pro series pots with no trouble (80 of em) but realistically, double that number, and thats about how many msp's you can get in there actually it not as many as you think, you don't get to put 2 MSP bottles per round slot, but it's close. I ran out of space on the main 4 tiered one when the blue Metallic MSP came out, thus been using the 2 tiered one, but now that I sold off my VMC & MGC (YES!!! THEY ARE GONE NO MORE!!!!!!!!!!! ha ha) I can now start using the other 4 tiered one I have even with all the MSP on there, this is still wasted space thou, one of these days would like to build somthing I've seen on here that resembles stadium seating & such (each paint raises a bit higher to see the colors & such) RM

I've got most of the triads with the highlight color on the top shelf, the midtone on the middle shelf, and the shadow color on the lower shelf. This picture shows what I had in December, but I've picked up at least 18 MSPs since then: If I had more deskspace, I'd get another one of these shelf thingies even though it's a bit deep for the MSP bottles, but I'll probably end up getting one of the Pantiers given that I'm out of room.
