skavenbabe
Nakhti is the mini I practiced on in Michael Genet's 'Shaded Metallics' class at ReaperCon. I finally finished him up. I'm happier with the left hand sword than the right, but I'm still practicing. The Toadman with Headbasket is my Speed Painting entry at ReaperCon. For those that dont know, it was a 45 minute painting bonanza with about 12 pro paint colors (if I remember correctly) and 2 different sized, very used brushes, all splayed out and hooked. We were heckled by passers-by and tortured by the Sonic guy who kept trying to lure us away with promises of hot dogs and frito pies. ladystorm
AND the wicked cool thing (in my opinion) the judge for that speed paint was the sculptor himself, Jason Wiebe. (actually I did that because I was lazy & didn't want to do it myself...) it is a very nice froggy guy.
Qwyksilver
I was the primary heckler, overseeing the Speed Paint. That was an amazing round and all were well painted. I think the saddest moment was Saint's frog falling face first into the paint lid with about a minute left There were 12 colors in each kit. Very well done. It would be very entertaining to see pictures of the poor paint-diving frog.
vutpakdi
I really like how Nakhti looks, particularly the skin tone, highlighting and shading. I also like the Toadman, and I'm impressed that you did such a good job with twelve paints and little time. Ron
haldir
love the blades, hopefully that is a class at next year's Rcon. also love the face on that guy, spot on!!! toad---this is the 2nd one I've seen from that speed paint (Mengu had his at a class) All I can say is both are great figs, would have been a hard one to judge. nice shades of green on him as well, really froggy-like. great work on both figs!! Jabberwocky
I very much like the sword blades on the first fella. Great bandages and I like the eyes as well.

neshenti
I'm particularly partial to Nakhti's facial expression. :-) The metallics have the "gleaming in the searing sun" look to them. I like. -Tom
Patrick
Nice work on the metallics! And the frog guy is cool! I missed out on seeing the speed paint but it sounds like great fun was had by all.
