Shakandara
The "naughty" Sophie being refered to was Werner's original version of this Sophie: http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/specialedition/sophie_001 However, she had, umm... substantially less clothing (and for a mini that is barely clothed as is...). Anyway, there were a number of the bodies for this in the Boneyard area, and a number of people picked them up during the con. ~v

Anyway, there were a number of the bodies for this in the Boneyard area, and a number of people picked them up during the con. From what I heard at ReaperCon, Ed Pugh learned that a couple of nekkid Sophies had sold on Ebay for $100 or so, and he basically said the equivalent of "bugger that" and went into the back and personally cast a whole bunch of them to sell at $17. I'm not 100% sure on the accuracy of this story (apart from the facts that he did cast them and they were sold for $17.20).

I'm not 100% sure on the accuracy of this story (apart from the facts that he did cast them and they were sold for $17.20). You pretty much have the story correct. I am the one who went up to Ed and asked him about making the nekkid Sophie available. (I had thought the nekkid Sophie was a miniatures Urban Legend until I saw the one on ebay and got outbid at over $100. I've heard rumors that one sold in a non-ebay private sale for even more than the ebay one). Rather than letting it only be available on the minis black market, he cast them up to make them available for the Reaper fans. I'm very glad he did (I bought a few of them). It was one more example of why Reaper is such a great company. BTW-the nekkid Sophies were sold by weight at RCon (and as a result were slightly cheaper than the blister pack clothed ones).
darktremere
Nice, any chance of them being sold as the next Special Edition Sophie? Somehow I doubt that any of the people that managed to pick one up will be willing to part with her.
Tannhauser
Heh, with all the demand for the nekkid Sophie, I can just imagine Reaper selling them in a blister pack that's been spray-painted black so you can't see inside, maybe with a big ol' "CENSORED" stamped on it. Or sell them in normal packaging with black tape over the naughty bits.
pae
With all the other nude succubi minis they have, why would they be more sensitive with Sophie? Maybe to satisfy Talin's protective nature towards her.
haldir
hopefully Ed will do that for next year's Rcon, gotta get me one of those, then all I'll be missing is the 1st rcon sophie. then again still need to pick up a couple of the bigger ones as well (ha ha) but special edtion-wise... Reaper User Vaitalla Posted May 26, 2006 Reaper User Share Posted May 26, 2006 Just my two cents, but I seem to recall that we did not release the naughty Sophie originally because she is definately not Family Friendly and is extremely explicit. In short, as far as I know she won't be released because this is not the sort of product Reaper wishes to be famous for producing. --Anne
darktremere
ok, so she probably won't be showing up as a special edition. How about doing what was done at the Con. Making the body available through the boneyard and allowing people to order it that way. Mainly it's the diehard painter/collectors that buy bitz to convert stuff, not the kids. You don't even have to post a pic of it online. Just label it as a mature theme mini, we'll know which one your referring to.
Vapok
What about if you sold it as a "Adult Dragon" in a Black Box.. heh.. Just kidding. :)
Qwyksilver
"Sophie might share" with a black box and her eyes on the cover.
darktremere
So any chance of one of the people lucky enough to get one of these Sophie's posting a picture of her?
ladystorm
No. Not here they can't. against forum rules.
cutebutpsycho
It's really not all that exciting. I saw one. I didn't realize they were available, if I had, I probably would have bought one just for posterity's sake, but I wouldn't have paid more for it than for a normal 72mm Sophie.
