Ranzadule
I am hoping to make this tourney and use the army I was going to use at CaptC's a couple weeks ago.
Ravenwolf
I am hoping to make this tourney and use the army I was going to use at CaptC's a couple weeks ago. Hope you can make it, Ranz. We missed you at The Whiz. I was hoping we'd see more Bloody Strippers in the Marches... wait that didn't come out right ... at the tournament, but as we all know real life gets in the way of gaming... a lot. I plan to attend as well. We'll see if my work schedule allows for it.

Only enough grunts to make a legal troop or two grunts/adepts? Some Warlords require a minimum of 5 units to make a legal troop.

If your Warlord requires 5, you must bring 3 grunts, or at least one soldier must be Cavalry. Conversely, if your Warlord has a minimum of 2 or 3, you must still bring 2 grunts to have a 4:1 Models-to-Elites ratio. PS
Ranzadule
I checked with the Warden and I seem to be cleared to go. Little league/softball/graduations appear to be over by then. I plan to use a new force I'm working on. I hope to have all of the models at least haalf painted. WHat will the VPs be like in the 1000 point tourney? Whattabout objectives and such? Hope to see you all there!

[*]Prizes to top 3 finishers, best painted army and St. Murphy's Luck Award. How are you going to score it to determine winners? It's going to be one of two ways: either a series of To the Death's more or less scored as the Whiz Store tourney, with winners determined by highest total for the 3 rounds, or a series of linked scenarios with winners determined by highest totals. I'd rather do the latter, but I'm not sure I can design and score the different scenarios to my satisfaction without some playtesting. I'm leary of doing anything experimental as part of the Grand Prix, so I might stick with simple and straightforward. In either case I have a poster board that will have the scoring rules on it, so it'll be displayed at all times. :) PS

When you figure the 'more or less' out would you please post it for us? Thanks Here's what I've used before. I might make some tweaks. Tournament Scoring Victory points Primary Points Defeat enemy: 12 points Lost to enemy: 5 points Victory is determined by points of models killed. Spells/equipment used count as points killed for your opponent. Multi-track models with less than half their tracks remaining count as killed. Secondary Points Killed enemy’s highest point model: 3 point Lost own highest CP spellcaster: -2 point All troops half dead: -1 point Killed/Lost for bonus points means killed, not half or less tracks remaining. Troop is half dead if half the models of the original troop are dead, or in the case of a solo, half or more damage done. Final Bonus Control the center: 2 point Control is having the only models within 8” of marker at end of game After the first round, players are matched up by highest total score. No pair of players shall play more than one game against each other during the tournament. Tournament is three rounds. PS
Ranzadule
Will we be doing tough checks on stunned models at game's end to determine if they are alive or dead?
