Well, I hope the recipient has recieved, it should have been there by now - if the PO didn't manage to misplace it...

More comments to follow on what I was going for, since I don't want to give anything away if they haven't gotten it yet.

I kind of messed her up right at the end with a little too much color in my wash, it killed a lot of the highlights.

Anyway, first pics are of the mods, followed by the paint job (there were some last minute touch ups for a couple things I noticed in the pictures).

(edit: took out the duplicate WIP shot and added one with a view of the scroll)

Now that is a cool conversion!

I have to say I never muched liked this mini, but you have added some real deapth to it. Excellent job!

Great work on the hat by the way.

I like you paintjob too. The base is very well done. I think the tone and contrast of the wood is amazing.

The colors you choose on the mini are good to. I think you need to work a bit on the highlighting part (her skin tones just a little bit) and the edges of the hat. The wanted poster looks really cool... nice and dirty, well weathered. I'm not to sure about her face though... but that could be the sculpt. Please don't take any of these comments as negative... you have done a wonderful job here! I would be proud to have this little lady on my shelf... I was just wanting to give a little bit of artist insperation (I mean.. who among us can't improve a little bit... well.. maybe Schubert....).

Very cool conversion, I would never have thought of making a pirate from this figure, but what you've done works really well! I like the wanted poster a lot.

Thanks a bunch Dragon Snack. I recieved the package Tuesday, but do to being in between houses, I only have access to a computer at work. I was immediately blown away at the quality of the conversion and brush work. The is nothing that I like more than a pirate chick, and this is now my favorite. The skin tones are very fitting for someone who spends alot of time on the sea. You sculpting skills are very good. How did you get that small freehand on the wanted poster? Thanks again, great job, I am very proud to own it.

When I did my "research" I noticed you had a bunch of comments for Kellyn on her pirates, so I knew I had to do a pirate. IIRC, you said you had a lot of the Reaper ones, so I had to get creative.

I went through a bunch of minis trying to see if I could convert them, but none seemed to "click". When I glanced at this one, I saw the conversion right away. She seemed to be saying, "Look, I'm on a wanted poster!" I origionally envisioned a pistol in her hand, but I could not find one so I went with a cutlass from a weapons pack.

How did you get that small freehand on the wanted poster?

Simple. I cheated. ::D:

I used a micron pen to do the picture.

This mini was my first major sculpting and first major freehand using the micron pen.
