CuCulain42
How about a platypus familiar. Could also be used as a certain psionic DnD critter, yeah, you know the one I'm talking about.

Nameless
As my clients are using Reaper models mainly as replacements for Warhammer, I'd love to see monsters with riders. For now there is only Kyra&Lavarath (and new pegasus rider, of course). With all monsters already released by Reaper, perhaps it would be enough if rider-conversion-kits were released? I'd like to add another proposals :) - bigger scale models (request repeated from the previous thread). Wanna see some more of Master Series Miniatures - I know, that this is a fantasy thread, but I'd really love to get 28mm s-f line from Reaper. It doesn't have to be AICom line, could be more generic (like Dark Heaven Future ). We have so many great fantasy models (DHL, DHA, WL, L5K, Exalted lines), and almost none sf minis... Perhaps it is not good place to start a discussion about plastic models, so mods - feel free to move following paragraphs if necessary. GW is holding the biggest part of fantasy minis market. That is especially true in Europe. Nothing changes despite constant increases of prices and nothing will change, until there is a company, which can manufacture and sell plastic models of similar quality and price. The biggest advantage of WFB game over other games is amount of minis on the table. Most players love the image of big armies fighting a battle. I know that lot of people use Reaper (and other companies) models as replacements for GW minis (as they are cheaper and often look better ) This applies to heroes only (generals, sorcerers etc.). Is Reaper considering the possibility of making plastic minis? Simpler sculpts, lower prices? I'm sure that these would be good sellers. I'm not of course capable of calculating any costs incurred with commencig such production.
SaintRigger
Has a request been made for Fallen Angels? I'm thinking of a magic card - http://www.oshkoshmagic.com/magic/files/thumbs/t_9676.jpg - but I like the idea of the angel with the wings removed (granted it's an easy conversion on just about any figure with an exposed back) - But I think the talent at reaper can really bring something like this to life with their own flair. Jackie-Paper
I really like all the townsfolk so I would like to see more townsfolk. Maybe a fat mayor type guy with a big medal on his chest. Old people, like an old military general in a crazy big hat. Horse and cart would be awesome. Also a townsfolk accessory pack, with crates and barrels maybe. Is there already a town cryer figure? Workers would be cool, guys with hammers, shovels, torches, wrakes, could double for pesants for an angry mob too. Yeah I know it seems a bit far fetched to make that stuff, but I'm wanting to build a little town someday so ha ha.
Wuz
It's not as much what I'd like to see as what I'd like NOT to see. Please, no more armored knight/fighters with HOODS instaead of helmets. It just looks silly. Please quit making figures with two weapons of the same size. It's rare to be able to use such a figure for Role-playing. One weapon...or two different sized weapons works beautiful. There are too many great minis that are just unusable. REAPER has enough two weapon figures with two long sewords...ENOUGH ...already! Sazabi Reverse
Hum....not sure how well this one will be recieved, but I'd like to see: -gender specific humanoid insect characters. As in things like a female beetle paladin or a male grasshopper barbarian. Or insect royalty would be cool too, like queens and kings and princesses and the like. -kitsune characters, armored or unarmored is fine with me, I just want to try painting something that is part fox and still has an oriental theme. I'll probably end up with more here, but it's a start.
Shakandara
I've got a question that follows along a similar vein to the whole discussion about Reaper making monsters like "eye-orbs" instead of beholders. How exactly does Reaper get away with making figures like this? http://www.reapermini.com/gallery/2700range/2741_mr1 I seem to recall a nearly identical piece of artwork being used as part of the NWN ad campaign... inquiring minds want to know! ~v
Dragon Snack
Eye monsters have a background other than D&D, WotC only has a right to the word "Beholder" to describe them (similar to the Bathalian/Illithid minis). As for poses/artwork, specific to that one, I guess you can only do nearly naked "sea chicks" so many ways... On Topic: Rust Monster, Kobolds (yes, more), fat Bathalian fire sorcerer with an eye patch wearing bone armor and weilding a bone sword (hurry up though, the campaigns almost over ). Shakandara
I get all that regarding copyrighted names, Dragon Snack; it was actually addressed earlier in the thread. But the Big Cheese himself elaborated on why Reaper often has to "reinvent" the look of a given monster, as indicated here: It is not so much the subject matter as it is their (Wotc) interpretation of the subject matter. When they “create” a black dragon or flying eye-orb monster they do not own the idea of the dragon or flying eye-orb monster, just their interpretation of it. As such it would be a severe breach of the copyright laws to simply use their art or interpretation of a subject and make a miniature model of it. I hope this helps as to why we do not produce exact or very close likenesses of their monsters. So, this particular example seems to be the very antithesis. While I agree that there can only be so many interpretations of the aquatic hottie in question, the fact remains that it appears that she was sculpted almost directly from the artwork that was used in the NWN ads - pose, garments, accessories and all - which would be a direct contradiction to the quoted statement above. I'm just wondering how liberal this license is, or if there were some special considerations with regard to this figure. Really, this does lead to something on-topic. There are a number of other "personalities" that have come out of the various WotC campaign settings that I would love to see produced in miniature (in many cases, produced *again*, as some were done in the now out-of-print Ral Partha AD&D 11-series line). Obviously, such miniatures could not be referred to as their namesakes, but come on. A Reaper-made Raistlin-style mage? Or a knight of Solamnia? It's not like this kind of stuff hasn't been done before (*coughdualscimitarwieldingdrowrangercough*)... ~v
Hammereyez
I would like to see more extinct megafauna mammals as minis. You already have a smilodon (sabre-toothed tiger), so why not a mastodon/mammoth? I know you have a Warlord mini of a wooly-rhino, why not add to the group? A domesticated Indricotherium ( the largest land mammal ever ) would make an awesome war machine, considering an adult male could top 15 tons in weight. Cave bears, giant ground sloths, Andrewsarchus (largest land mammal carnivore, up to 2000 kilos in weight), stegodons, the list of interesting, extinct, mammalian megafauna is almost endless. Why not have a group of barbarians/cave-people who use megafauna as mounts or war machines? I almost forgot about Deinotherium, a weird looking proto-elephant, 2nd only to Indricotherium in size, with a shorter trunk then modern African elephants, but with downward pointing tusks
Reaper User Talin Posted October 20, 2006 Reaper User Share Posted October 20, 2006 NOT AN OFFICIAL REAPER RESPONSE!!! OKAY?!?!? The only real obstacles (other than a limited amount of releases per month) I'd imagine would be the cost of sculpting, producing, and packaging them versus the limited number that they'd sell. As it is, I would think pieces as large as the giant gorilla or Kyra and Lavarath are a huge financial gamble, and I've seen firsthand how hard it is to package and ship larger pieces. I've wanted to do some larger resin kits for a while, but lack of resources (as well as that pesky lack of sculpting talent ) has prevented it... But, yes, it would be cool if it were possible to do it.
L337Dwarf
I wanna see the return of the Highlanders. I've wanted to get a Bruce O'Hugh soooo bad and paint my clan tartan. But he's discontinued. :p

Bodhi
"correctly" sized goblins would be nice. I've allways felt that most goblins out there are a bit on the large side. At least two heads shorter than a dwarf would be proper in my opinion. But perhaps I'm the only one with such views.
