BunnyPuncher
Just curious if this is a "my problem only" issue or a wider one... So far I've purchased 4 warlord cavalry models and have yet to receive the proper base size... 1. Onyx Chevalier - Pewter 50mm base 2. Lorenth - Pewter 50mm base 3. Deathrider - No base 4. Gadrun - 40mm Monster Base No big deal as I've a bag of Evil Empire cavalry bases sitting in the hobby room but potentially confusing to noobies. What concerns me here is the cost to reaper, a plastic cavalry base has to be cheaper to package and ship than those lovely heavy 50mm pewter bases. Brushmaster
Every Crusader cavalry model I have has had a plastic base and I've got a dozen or more .
BunnyPuncher
I guess I should also mention I'm in Canada and our distributor is Lion Rampant... no idea if that has any impact on where stuff is packaged.
Heisler
Everything is packaged down in Denton so the Canadian location probably has not effect on that. However, there did seem to be a period about a year ago when there were some issues with the wrong bases in the blisters. I suspect that your seeing the last vestiges of that. I haven't purchased a blister with the wrong base in it for over a year. Since distributors can definitely have old stock laying around depending on their inventories are like I think this is a likely scenario. Tannhauser
Look on the bright side: at the next ReaperCon you can come on down and trade in those big, heavy metal bases for more models.
smokingwreckage
Yeah, the metal bases would likely be older stock, they stopped doing them on account of cost.
DBlagg
I had the same types of problems with Gadrun and the deathriders. Gadrun had no head, but did have the correct cavalry base. The deathriders however had the large bases instead of the cavalry bases. I emailed [email protected] to resolve and they responded quickly and said they would mail me the correct parts I needed. vejlin
A somewhat similar question. Just got a Grave Horror and I'm a bit confused. The base that came with it is large (2"x2") and the mini is clearly sculpted to fit on a giant. Yet the data card says base size for the Grave Horror is "large". I have a hard time seeing how I should be able to fit it on there without it looking silly. Is the data card wrong?
BunnyPuncher
Good question, I never even checked the base size as I assumed he was intended to fit on the 50mm base that he came with (since his width takes most of it up!). Wouldn't mind an answer to this meself.
Arbiter10
The Grave Horror goes on a giant (2 inch) base.
Emmel Eitch
Everything is packaged down in Denton so the Canadian location probably has not effect on that. RAFM is our distributor to Canada, so actually it would make a difference as they package up and cast up there. We'll send out right bases, email [email protected]
smokingwreckage
Aw, aw, you sub out to RAFM but not Eureka! Aw, man! What's it about Aussies that makes us less loveable than Canadiites?

Umm , I don't think Eureka cast in Pewter cause all the stuff I get from Nick is still in lead . That may not be the reason but a possibilty . smokingwreckage
Technically I think it's still a pewter, but a lead-tin not a tin-somethingorother.
