wildbill
Well, I've lost the Warlord fever. Anyone need -more- Dwarves? LOL. Please tell me you are joking. You are playing the best army in the game. Why would you want to quit? Wild Bill
notsoevil
Only so much time for so many wargames. Reaper is an okay system and is fun to play, but there are very few people who do play here and no events are ever run. I'll stick to the games where there is a variety of opponents and such. I'll even play an inferior system over Warlord, just due to the low number of opponents Warlord has to offer. I love the Dwarf models though, so I might hang on to them. But at the same time I can sell them and buy into an upcoming Escalation WHFB 7 casual league.

Have you tried putting on demos and getting others to play? If your LGS has a Yahoo group or it's own board have you tried posting there? I'm guessing you have tried these already but it doesn't hurt to ask. As for time iWHFB will surly eat up all your time with the large amount of figures you'll need to paint and field. notsoevil
The hordes of models I'll have to paint for WHFB certainly has me tryingi to ignore it for now, but the group of guys playing are really cool, so I'm willing to dive in I think. Plus, I'll go with Chaos or Ogre Kingdoms for the fewer models to paint. I don't have time to push another system on anyone and run events for it, I already am an active Press Ganger for Privateer Press' games of Warmachine & Hordes. If I put myself in that role in Warlord, the same thinig will happen: I'll end up running events more than I play!

One thing I saw that GW is doing that is really irksome, for their troop models they are getting rid of the blisters and you now have to buy a box of them at $35 to $50 a pop. If your troop comes in a box of ten kinda makes it expensive if you wanted a troop of twelve or fourteen.
notsoevil
Yeah, but there is a hell of an aftermarket for them on eBay, so it's not that hard to find exactly what you need. Honestly, for this upcoming League, I might even see if I can just borrow someone's army instead of investing right now. They want me to play and I want to, but I don't have much spare time right now to take on the project I want to with the Ogre Kingdoms (lots of conversions). I think I might keep my Reaper Dwarves for now, but sell off the Reptus army (all NIB) that I got from Ranz.
Sivrel
That's what I did!! There is a DHL fig that has two Dwarves drinking ale while two more pour from a keg. I use that as my battle totem. Wild Bill hey for dwarves its quite fitting
notsoevil
That was sorta my plan for my Battle Totem as well, or at least a stack of kegs in a wheelbarrel (so it looks moveable battle to battle).

That's what I'd do, barrow so as not to take up too much time and expense and keep the dwarves in case you get the itch again or perhaps Warlord picks up in your area, ya never know how these things go. I'll admit I'm gearing up to play some WHFB 7th ed and maybe next summers WHFB campaign but I have over 3000 points in DE that I had collected when 6th first came out. Fortunately the people I play with are not asinine about having your figures all painted to play as long as you’re making an effort to get it done. wildbill
Here's my latest attempt at an anti-Darkspawn army, that should be able to do decently against other opponents as well. Logrim + 2 Bandages Ivar + 2 Bandages 5 Warriors + Musician Thorvald Gargram 5 Piercers + Musician Griffon Freya 4 Shieldmaidens + Musician I gave every troop a musician just because I figured I would need to close quickly to both his Queen and his archers. Whatchya think? Wild Bill
Shadowhunter
I think you need at least one speed for the Griffon if not two so that the bear can have one too. Put a speed on Ivar and Logrim then hit the Griffon and bear at the same time to double assault him. One could go for the queen and the other for the archers. Even it they don't succeed in killing the archers/ queen it should buy you enough time to get the rest of your troops to his unscathed. wildbill
Ok, here's the update. I had to lose one warrior though, to get the spells. Logrim + 2 Bandage + 1 Speed Ivar + 2 Bandage + 1 Speed 4 Warriors + Musician Thorvald Gargram 5 Piercers + Musician Griffon Freya 4 Shieldmaidens + Musician Better?
