Stubbdog
How does shock not work on undead? Oh wait, I just re read the SA in the chronicle. They must have added undead in there. It used to work against undead. Just another reason that I will probably start playing an undead faction.

And he was like "Yes way." And then I was like "As if!" Yeah, against undead the whole basis for the mega-amounts-of-bears army got nerfed. Hence, why you won't see that army from me in the ReaperCon tourney come May! I have something much more fiendish in mind. Wild Bill
Stubbdog
That also took away the main thing that the Crusaders had left against undead since they cant convert them.

jdripley
I think the Crusaders will do fine against undead. Necropolis undead, at least. Smite(Evil)/3,000,000 or whatever appears frequently on their cards :P WB, that's a sick amount of bears. Tell me you proxied that list and didn't actually purchase that many bears??? Castlebuilder
WB, that's a sick amount of bears. Tell me you proxied that list and didn't actually purchase that many bears??? I'm already up to six bears....... Castlebuilder

wildbill
WB, that's a sick amount of bears. Tell me you proxied that list and didn't actually purchase that many bears??? Well, yeah, I had to proxy. I only own 10 bears currently. But don't worry! Plans are in works so I can actually drop 19 Warlord/DHL bears on the table. jdripley
re: the number of bears: I think I'll max out at 7, if I ever get that high. I may top off at 3, because 3 + Chiconabear is the minimum troop size for an all bear troop. They're completely nasty models, but there's just so much else that's rediculously awesome about the Dwarves that I wouldn't want to have so many bears I couldn't field the other options! I mean, I'd love to play more berserkers, I have plenty of Shieldmaidens, I can't wait till the burrowing dwarves come out, etc etc etc. Heck the grunts thrill me too! It's been several games since I've had a Piercer in my army, and those are rediculously awesome! I already know I'll be cycling through "themes" as I play Dwarves (burrow theme, Logan theme, Swiftaxe theme, Ranged theme, Bear/Maiden theme), and as I'm on each theme I already feel like my army's really missing out because I don't have much in the way of the other strengths of the faction. Anybody else feel that way? I mean.... the other day i built a "Seven Dwarves" list (it was a small one, of course) where I just took one of each type of model in a troop until I reached seven. And even with that variety there were still choices I needed to leave out that were hard choices! Bottom line is, I guess Reaper did a good job with the Dwarves and their promise to make every model capable!
ladystorm
I have been lobbying since the first appearance of the data card currently titled "Chick on Bear" to name that model Ursula. I've had in depth, lengthy conversations with several PTB in an attempt to persuade them to make it so. So I'm now sharing my desired name with yall, the wonderful Dwarven community to request support in this matter. remember, email [email protected] to share your feedback upon Beta documents. thank you

And even with that variety there were still choices I needed to leave out that were hard choices! I was thinking about fielding all 19 of those bears with them painted up as a different Care Bear. Of course, I'm going to have to see if there are even 19 different ones. If not, then I'll do as many as possible. Plus, I just like the intimidation factor of dropping 19 bears on the table. Plus a King! Against any army that doesn't have an Undead model on the field, that army will win most of the time. Between Fearsome and Shock...**shudder** By the way, Lady Storm, check out my new signature... Wild Bill :blues:

jdripley
Her name IS Ursula. Wow. Now that's power, Ladystorm! This all makes me so excited to see the new sculpts. Burrowers, another Bear, a Stone Spirit... I actually made my own stone spirit out of rocks I found in the back yard. Just kept gluing them together until it looked like a giant made of stone that wanted to turn you into fertilizer. I didn't want to proxy it with my Griffon (only other 2" base model), and didn't want a plain old 2" piece of wood, and didn't want to wait, so I figured, hey! Rocks are free, I've got the wood to make the base, and I've got the hot glue! So why not??
