Dane
I just got my recent order today (a couple triads and some 1" fillable bases) and I got a free bottle of blue (looks like it may be Templar Blue) with a "Sample" tag. NEAT! Thanks!
chesme
Thanks for reminding me, Dane.... I got an order in not too long ago and it had paint samples too. That was such a wonderful surprise, thanks Reaper! A free sample of MSP is like gold to me...well, close enough. I wish I knew which colors they were though I might be using a lot of one soon. twjolson
ages ago when I got my first set of MSP's, I got a free sample of a pro paint. Nice surprise for sure, and it's small touches like that and the free casketworks that make me adore Reaper
Weezoh
From what I was told, the samples may or may not represent an acutal color; usually they were deemed not quite right or were colors they decided not to use. So it's likely not any of the finished colors. I got a tealish kind of sample in my recent order; it's the first MSP i've seen and I think I want to switch over now. Evilbob
I also understand that any bottle labled sample is a not-quite-right version on an existing color. The teal-ish blue sample is fairly close to what I would call a mix of Marine Teal and Surf Aqua. The skin tone sample is close to one of the tanned skins. I also have recieved 2 bottles of Deep Red MSP's... and at 2 points I got a bottle of what we refer to as Sample Brown, its a ProPaint. It is my most favorite brown EVER! unfortunatly, I can't use it all the time or it will run out, and then I'll cry.
Castlebuilder
It was those samples that got me to start using the pro paints, and then it was just a natural progression into the MSP's. I love the samples too. I'm thinking that I have the same sample brown that EB does...... Castlebuilder
Dane
I got the teal sample too. Maybe they should number the samples, so we can collect them all and trade with our friends! lol
