Angorak
I really enjoy painting GW chaos figures and this has been one of my favorites. I used a mixture of Citadel and RMS paints.
joshuaslater
Wow! Great paintjob! I bought that model just 'cause I thought it was cool, not because I'm into Warhammer, but a cool model is a cool model, whoever produces it. Even though Warlord has a resculpt for Javolith (Darkspawn Cap'n), this one would work too. The free hand work, blending, color choice, shading are all pro quality, and if I guess right, a logical choice of paints for this champion of Slaanesh--pleasure and pain, right? Redhandstudios
WOW. You are hired. When do you want to finish up my Dark Elf army for me? :)
Stubbdog
although not typical "evil" colors. Tis awesome indeed. I love the blue-green blends on the shoulder and shield. Awesome freehand. And the smooth blend on the fabric. I give it a 9.8 on my scale.
haldir
Slaneesh was always kinda wild pastel type colors & this one would fit right in with them nice work on that one. love the shield also is the bottom of the tabard freehand?? If so that is awesome!! RM
Angorak
also is the bottom of the tabard freehand?? If so that is awesome!! RM Yep..it's all freehand. Gotta love those W&N series 7... Although it's not your typical "evil" color scheme, it is typical of what is described for the Slaneesh Chaos faction in the Warhammer World. For those not familiar with it, Slaneesh is the God of pleasure and pain..way back in the beginning of the Warhammer game world the figures were even more bizarre...lol
SaintRigger
yeah - colors really work for a Slaanesh character - and Slaanesh isn't jsut the god of Pleasure and Pain, but of indulgance, excess and decadence. It's taking Hedonism to a whole new level. But yes, he tends to be really pastel at times, and androgynous - so his followers often follow suit. Beautiful paintjob. I've always liked this model too. Artists Wren Posted August 24, 2006 Artists Share Posted August 24, 2006 Gorgeous colours, and wonderfully painted. I also really like the freehand on the tabard, but it's the very subtle freehand on the shield I especially like.
