Angorak
Nice figure...fun to paint. My only complaint is that the face is sculpted a little lopsided hence the profile shot not a face on. Lots of places to blackline....:( arrgh.
mlavanish
Nice clean paintjob. I like it.
SwordofOmens
Looks very nice. I really like the colors. If I can pick your brain, how did you do the armor, and what technique do you use to get such clean, black lines? When I try to outline stuff, I have typically just used a black wash and then tried to clean up excess paint with base colors. Sometimes this turns out okay, but often the lines don't turn out very clean and linear.
Angorak
Well....Although I primer white typically I always paint all armor surfaces black before applying the NMM color I've chosen. I find that it is easier to cut in the armor leaving as thin a "blackline" as possible. I have to say that this might not be the easiest way for some people because I have a real steady hand(when not imbibing massive amounts of coffee). If I get any places that the numerous blends of armor have obscured the blackline I simply pull out my trusty 000 W&N series 7 and touch it up. Stern Kestrelmann
Solid stuff man. Great sculpts and great paint jobs, what a nice combo! This sculpt was one of WK's first big hits in the DHL line! Love the freehand too! SK
GreyHorde
Beautiful work, with crisp clean details, lining and excellent freehand. The hair seems just a little bit flat, but that might be because the rest is so good. Great color choices, overall.
Angorak
Yeah the hair didn't come out well in the photo..it is much better in real life...I tried several times to balance the color with PS7 but I didn't have any luck..I'm not that familier with all the nuances of the program. I might try using a neutral(gray) colored backdrop and retake the photo. hopefully it won't mess with the armor colors.
LordColdsteal
first thing that caught my eye was the face plate of the helmet. I love the shading job that... wow! Fantastic... so gives me ideas... of course I'm not painting a min with a face plate right now... Love the armor, and the tabard looks great. Love all the NMM trim on the armor too... wow. Lawgiver
LOVE the helmet. The sword looks good as well. The light source for the nmm is a bit inconsistent, but the technique is great. Colors really pop.
Vikinglodge
I like her the cloth is neatly done and armour is very good
Madzerker
Looks great except that the hair color reminds me of my ex :)
lstormhammer
Looks great except that the hair color reminds me of my ex :) ...If she's a redhead in armor, can I date her? *duck* But seriously, a great job on the model, Angor. ...if only I can get my NMM to come out that smooth... --Ol' Unkie Stormhammer. haldir
ah yes, I see Unkie 'hammer is back!!! ha ha great mini, I have this one myself & it has a wonderful grey primer coat on her, but alas I haven't done anything with her. love the edges on the tabard, great work, as well as the armor & hair as well RM
lstormhammer
I actually am using this model as the commander for my 40K Cadians. I replaced the sword in her primary hand with a laspistol. Yes, I know many here consider it sacrelige, but I consider it an awesome, unique mini to add to the command. --LSH
Grumb
Very nicely painted mini Angorak! love the way you've done the cloth. Armor came out very nicely as well. This is a lovely figure.
