Erion
Agreed, but there are some out there who don't feel like you can call it a wargame until you've glued your fingers together, cut yourself with the x-acto knife, and licked the paint from some brushes. Erion
Well, I had to look up what a grognard was, but I didn't take offense, so that's ok. Also, the Warstore will have the AT-43 Rulebook in stock on Friday...

stormseeker75
Those Terians look so cool. They're almost enough to make me want to play, without even seeing the rules. Atis-AstarteThe first hero for the Therians. Close Combat Specialist. Gee you think? look at those claws!
Nanite
I'm anxious to get my hands on the oh-so-attractively priced army books.

Atis-AstarteThe first hero for the Therians. Close Combat Specialist. Gee you think? look at those claws! Note: The claws are remote controlled. Her actual hands are still visible. I Like it. I'm anxious to get my hands on the oh-so-attractively priced army books. $12 each is not bad at all. I can't imagine they'd be of any less size and quality than an Issue of Cry Havic (which for those of you unfamiliar wth Rackham, is their very high quality full color bi-monthly company magazine). Maybe with a Heavier Cover stock and similar interior paper quality.
Nanite
Wait, did the price on the OD set just drop? I read it's down to 60 Euros in Rackhams online store!?
Erion
I Noticed that as well. If it's going to retail in the states for $60, with a further Neal Discount, I know some folks who are going to be getting nice presents. You know, so they don't have an excuse not to play. Nanite
That would be a mind-popingly good deal. Especially considering the cost of the Striders alone. It would also make specialist units more affordable in a relative way (cheaper basic troops make for more palitable spendy expansions). Although really the price overall for the range has been surprisingly nice.
Erion
I agree wholeheartedly. With the exception of the soon-to-be rectified distribution problems, Rackham has done a really nice job with this. Buzz is building at the FLGS without any real involvement from myself or the two or three others who got OD in December. The owner has been getting whatever he can on the shelves, and I haven't seen anything stick around more than a couple of days. The general consensus (and I agree) is that it has 40k beat for gameplay hands down, and that as soon as more stuff becomes more readily available Rackham has a winner. I remember about two years ago we were really excited about SST, only to be disappointed with each consecutive release. With every new release announcement from Rackham things just keep getting better.
Nanite
AT-43 is the Antidote to SST. Great Minis, great art, great background, solid support, and they seem to be listening to customers. My closest FLSG has sold over 60 of the OD boxes (full price too), and any new releases don't stick around long.
Erion
I got my Rulebook in the mail on Saturday. It's VERY nice.
stormseeker75
Well, if the price actually comes down, this game has a chance to get some money from me. $20 is a big savings when you're on a gaming budget.
cristomeyers
True. I'm just not keen on the look of the Terians. I doubt I'll get involved too heavily, if I get involved at all.
