Nanite
I didn't even think the Star Troopers or the Steel Trooper attachments were up to the quality of the Initiation set (which were just fine in my book). My guess? Rackham asked for a more complex paint scheme with more hand-painting, so a few bad strokes make the whole figure look worse (see also the camo and unit markings on BF:E). Some sound like they're ok, and of course, YMMV.
Erion
Growing Pains? Rackham will soon learn that you can't please all of the people all of the time when it comes to pre paints. The Steel Troopers I got in both the OD box and unit boxes were all fine. I haven't gotten my attachment box yet.
Nanite
Picks of the May releases are up, it's a pretty light month: (Edit: This is a good thing.) http://en-forum.at-43.com/viewtopic.php?t=1113
Erion
I need a light AT-43 month. My 9 lb box from the Warstore with the march/april releases is due to arrive today...
Erion
While I'll agree that the Steel Troopers attachments aren't of the same quality as the Unit boxes, I'd also have to say they aren't as bad as the units I got in my OD box (which are still better than every other pre-painted model I've seen). Erion
The more I play this game, the more I think about porting my 40k Armies over to use the AT-43 rules. I'd be keeping the same points values, so you wouldn't be able to play Therians vs. Eldar, but you would be Able to play Eldar vs. Tau... Erion
The UNA army book is now available here in the US. I haven't gotten a chance to read much of it (been busy with Mil-Net stuff), but it's real pretty...

Nanite
My favorite game store's biggest complaint about AT-43? They can't keep it in stock.
Erion
Well, I'm sure they hate that. Unless of course they actually can't get re-stocked, which would then suck. I'm going to run some demos at a big store event the first weekend in June. It's unfortunate the Red Blok will not be available by then, because I have enough Therians to run two games concurrently. Nanite
They're having the same problems re-stocking rulebooks that everyone else seems to be having. Otherwise, they're ok. So is there anything due in the last days of May? And then Red Block next month? Oh and compared to the Infinity rulebook, the AT-43 book is the perfect balance between lavish illustrations and clear instructions.
Erion
The Rulebooks had actually been unavailable even from Rackham for a while. My understanding is that it was a combination of higher than expected demand combined with a number of cases of books damaged in transit. Warstore has them back in stock, so they should be filtering down through distribution channels. The May 16th releases are supposed to be coming before the end of the month, this may or may not be including the Therian Army Book (It says 'Late May' like all the others, but they said on the message boards they havne't gotten a yes or no). I'm only spending about $50 on this batch, even with the Rule Book, so I should be all set to start my Red Block demo force in June.
Bilesuck
Only problem with Red Block right now, you can only use them in the OD missions, no rule book for them yet, so no points values.
Nanite
Anyone gotten a Rackham newsletter lately? Mine kinda stopped after the start of the month.
