Outkast Samurai
Got the next layer of stuff sprayed onto the boards and they are looking good. I had to slice a few of the pieces apart and once again had to remind myself about how sharp a utility knife can be. Even when the darn things can barely slice through foam they'll go right through flesh. So I'll try and get some pics up after I get a chance to wipe all the blood off the terrain
Qwyksilver
Leave the blood! It shows your committment to your project! Not to mention it DNA tags it so you know it's yours
Morgan Devalis
Qwyk, the only problem with that is now that his board has the taste for human flesh, it will want more. Talk about a whoke new degree of difficulty on that board.
Outkast Samurai
Excess blood gone and the requisite blood sacrifice made to the project so success is assured now Full shot of boards with second layer on and first bit of chiseling done so minis fit a bit better. A different angle so you can see more of the height of the walls. Next set should have some CAVs for scale. Model's eye view.....its just like being there (now don't you wish you knew where the enemy is?) more to come....

Morgan Devalis
Out of curiosity, do you know if the gap filler stuff can be cut with a hot wire cutter?
Outkast Samurai
Out of curiosity, do you know if the gap filler stuff can be cut with a hot wire cutter? Yes it can but it reeks something fierce. It cuts much much better with just a simple hobby knife. There isn't the same shredding effect as with regular styrofoam. Lawgiver
Home Depot carries the 2" stuff here in KY. It varies based on your location in the US. There isn't much point in the southern states where insulation isn't as vital. Terrain is looking good. Looking forward to updates.
Outkast Samurai
Have the texturing glue down and added some rocks for difficult terrain. I wanted to have some variations to the flooring in place so I can choose whether or not to add difficult terrain modifiers to slow down the units making their way through the caverns. Here's a CAV to give you an idea of the scale of the cave walls. Watch your six!!

I'm not sure I'll be able to wait that long, and you don't want me dropping dead from the lack of CAVern updates on your conscience do you?
