haldir
The start of each round (so your next action is to roll the d10). If you match your current hp total (you have to roll a 5) with that d10 roll, you stabilize & then you don't lose anymore hps. You can't do anything of course but you don't lose anymore hps. If you don't roll anything but your current hp total, you lose anther hp until you drop closer to your death number (your's being -10) So if the combat continues & you don't roll the 5, then your at -6, -7, -8 etc etc until you reach -10 (then off to that orc graveyard in the sky). If someone can either cast a heal or do a successful heal check before -10, you'll stablize & not die. Qwyk I thought of that, but figured you've been exploring or was in the water when the party started the battle. With the zombie things running around, you figured it just them. The 3 that munched Vieta are the 3 that were upon you before you doove into the water, smelling the new meals they meandered off in search of it. It was Vieta's gun blast that told you that it was something else. Thus bringing you into combat (that & with my delays, figured let you act as well, ha ha) RM
Spike
I rolled a 7...so I guess that puts me at -6 then? Can I still do stuff like move out of the way, or does the roll count as my action?
Qwyksilver
My actions in round 6 are going to be determined by what the zombies do that I just shot at, especially since they act before me in the initiative order. The big thing being does one or more of them attack me, and then I can counterattack with a full attack and multiple swings, or will I have to move and carve one of those SOB's up? haldir
Spike, the roll is for blood loss. Your basically incapacitated, thou you can do half actions & are at a minus to do anything with a roll as well (whatever your current hp negative is at is your minus). I'll get a update up later today for everyone. RM
Unglef
Is there a combat map somewhere? If so, where is it?
haldir
Spike has a movable one up (only in IE thou). I'm using a 1 inch square grid I printed off for my movements. Right now you about in the middle of the halllway, with a wall of Tolan & Yarrin blocking off 1 zombie thing. Some guy shooting a crossbow at the ones that tore into Vieta on the eastern side of the corridor, & there is 1 coming toward you from the West. Also in the west, you saw Anny go down from a vicscous bite & is slowing making her way away from the battle. These are the tunnels from Kavik's view. Your in the 10 ft wide by 30 ft long tunnel that connects to Room P2 on the SE corner. You're 10 ft across from the Southern door in that tunnel. Spike
I really need to check out the javascript site I get most of my ideas from and find out if there is a work-around for that code in Firefox (because I've seen the light and no longer use IE unless I just have to)
Qwyksilver
Randy, why do I need to roll to confirm a crit when my attack roll was a 15 (+6) = 21? Not that I am complaining about the chance for mega damage.
haldir
Qwyk was the total 21? If so isn't that a chance for a crit? EDIT: Whoops! I spaced that one off. For some reason I thought you rolled into the crit range & it caused the chance for a crit. Updating now for everyone. RM

It's only a crit if you roll a nat 20 (or less with certain weapons or feats). If I managed to roll a 21 on 1d20, you'd have to check my dice
haldir
yah that is what I spaced off, thought you rolled & critted but then just add the modifiers. Well they do make those oddball dice now these days (d7, d30 (oh boy the day of the month dice!!)), etc etc. ha ha RM
Unglef
I've actually considered selling d2s for $1 apiece. I'd wrap 'em up so folks wouldn't know they just paid a dollar for a quarter.

One-in-four chance any female NPCs the party meets will be cranky, irritable, manic, or simply want to kill the party because they have sweets in their trail rations. Voladilk
Hey guys, I will be here off and on for the next 3 weeks. My parents are flying in today from the US and I am taking them around a bit since they have never been to Australia. Randy, just run Tolan as you need him while I am gone. Will try to drop in as I can and post when I am here. Cheers guys!
