Lady Tam
Just to keep our photography area "alive and moving". Where do you find some of the props you use in pictures? I have found them in the aquarium section at pet store, hobby stores and stores such as Wal-mart. Not too long ago at Hobby Lobby in the woodcraft section I found little "wooden barrels that will work great as large casks of wine! Just wondering what other great places I may be missing and should be looking into. Lady Tam
Kheprera
You've picked my main things... Also, the backyard is a good place, or local hooby place for florals. There are some fake floral things that make great dead trees, and you can buy moss in a big bag!! I also raid my bird's cage for small feathers (not from either of them personally, only the ones that have fallen off). Sometimes even the larger ones can give the impression that the minis are fighting something REALLY big and feathery!!
Lady Tam
There used to be a store in the area that "specialized" in doll house accessories and doll houses. I used to get great stuff there for my model horses. Real nice "real" looking trees and such. They had smaller scale stuff too, stuff that I think would work with some minis. I also found that some of the "cheap" plastic animal packages you can buy have usable things. Got a camel (that's very close in scale to what a cammel would be and a large alligator this way. they other animals went to the "toy box" for visiting children that I have. Decado
Tonight I bought two very nice terrain pieces that will be with my miniature photos and worked into my D&D game when possible. Both were purchased at PetCo. One is a double set of stairs leading to a platform that can hold 3-4 character size minis. The second is a tall set of pillars and stone blocks. Both were intended for use in an aquarium. I plan on going back next week and getting more. Decado
