are you using a digital or a film type camera. You field of focus to too small... so it is comeing out blurry. You might try backing up a bit and croping the pic down.

As for the paintjob... great colors. The armor could use a bit of shadows... maybe put a dark brown wash on it and then hit it with some highlights.

Yes, he could use a wash and some highlights, but then he wouldn't be able to brag about his fully painted army... :;): ...Which he will do if you give him half a chance... ::D: ... just because most of your opponents force is still pewter colored, and half of the remaining is primer colored... ::P: he thinks he's "better", and thats why he always wins against said mostly unpainted armys... but thats not it at all, its because they are elves, and have lots of long didtance pointy bits...

I'll hae to agree, the camera needs to be pulled back a inch or so, and that close you DO need some highlights and shading...but what a thing to behold on the table.

You could try shooting with brighter lights, or putting the lights closer to the mini. This allows the camera to shoot with a smaller aperture, which will increase your depth of field (area in focus.) You may have manual settings on your camera which would allow you to specify aperture mode, which would alleviate the depth of field issue, but the sacrifice is that the shutter will stay open longer, and might require a tripod and timer.

Nice work too.
