"If we are going to hunt him, we need to know our game better. Why don't we return to the inn, take care of our earnings, and while we are counting, start working on a plan to hunt that beast down. We do want to make sure we do not tarry too long though, lest the trail run cold."

Arwin nods agreement and follows the others back to the inn.

"About our loot..", she says to the others once they have found a place with reasonable privacy."...it's a bet Vanthus knows we're 'ere... an' if 'e don't, 'e'll find out soon..an' come for wot 'e finks is his...or just ter finish off a shabby job 'e done of killin' us yesterdy. I says we should find another place ..... or sleep wif one eye opened."

"I agree with you, Arwin." so says Yarrin.

"It best be that our new enemy, Vanthus not strike us down while we sleep."

If the rest of the party agrees then, party's "home base" so to speak moves to anther inn. The innkeeper can suggest some other inns in the area. None that are dangerous & the guest are pretty much anonymous.

(I'll leave it up the party on how you'll split the smuggler tunnel treasure.)

If you want to get some of the magical items IDed, there is a place in the market square, not a magical shop but a place where a hedge wizard does identify for a price: 100 gp per item.

Afterwards the party moves to anther inn (I'll look on the map for one, do you want it in same district or a different one in Sasserine??)

During this time, Heleger sees the dwarven armoursmith Gildindorf about his new breastplate & it is done. The wait was worth it, the item is a quality item (treat the piece as a masterwork breastplate).

"Bent Goblin sounds just as good as any of the other options. I really don't care where I lay my head so long as it's clean, dry and someone else is footing the bill. It doesn't matter where we stay. If Vanthus wants to kill any of us, he has the money and the connections to have us tracked and attacked. If we want it to stop, we have to stop being prey and start being the hunter. We go to where he sleeps, and where he feels safe...

The note we found. He's ingratiated himself with the Lotus. We find their taxidermy shop. We find him..."

"Lady Vanderboren's parents were murdered by Vanthus a month or so ago." Yarrin solemnly says.

"I'm surprised you didn't hear about it. They were aboard one of their ships & it exploded in the harbor while it was docked."

"The Bent goblin is fine by me as well, best we get settled in & then we can search for this taxidermy shop. Hopefully it won't be to hard to find." Yarrin says as he gathers his gear, gives the innkeeper & his son, thanks for the hospitality & goodbye.

The party gathers it's gear & makes it way to the Bent Goblin. While there are other inns in Merchant District, a name that kept popping was the Bent Goblin. The place is a long ways away from the Strumpet's Excuse. You take Main Street all way down, until you cross one of the bridges (which from this point you can see the walls of the Vanderboren Manor) that connect this particular island. Crossing over, puts you on Bastion Street, with the largest structure being the Merchant's Garrison, a rather large walled fort-like building. You walk across the entire island before coming to anther bridge. Crossing over you see a tower & a small 2 story building next to it, it has a colorful sign of a bare-bottom goblin getting smacked by a wooden paddle. The goblin has a red face & wide-eyed look to it, you've arrived at the Bent Goblin.

Opening the door, reveals a modest interior, a common room with a small desk & some stairs that lead up to the 2nd story. A female elf sits at the desk, upon seeing you she looks up from her book & asks

"Welcome to the Bent Goblin, my name is Kellandra, how may I be of assistance?"

While Kavik and the elf negotiate, Kelana takes a furtive look around at any other patrons that might be in the room to see if she recognizes any of them, and if so if she has crossed any of them in a bad way..and if so, have they noticed her. It seems to be a habit of hers to do so, as it also seems to be a habit of hers to cross people in a bad way.
