Hinton
They look pretty good, LCS. Glad to see you got them done. The demon looks great and I like the facepainting/tattoo on the warrior's face. Great work.
chika
Great job on both minis. The face tattoo on the warrior looks great. It makes her look like an amazon warrior. The skintones and highlighting on both minis came out really smooth. Again, Great job LCS.
Orchid_Noir
First I'm going to say that I like them both, quite a bit actually, so what follows is pure silliness. *enters has Star Wars fanatic for a son mode* Some black tribal work and the top one could be Darth Maul's ancestor. *re-enters her 'normal' mode* I like the bottom one best, I think it has to do with the execution of the flesh, but not sure. It has a lot of depth, no to mention that the scupt has a beautiful facial profile that your paintjob really highlights.
Darkstar
Oh yeah, they came out well, I remember these from the WIP thread earlier. Actually the leopard/cheetah print is more recognizable now to me, everything else is complete now so it's better set off. This thread also reminds me that it's about time to start hitting those turkey left overs.
vhaidra
I also saw them in the wip section, but didn't say something about, because they already looked very good so far and Darkstar said all about the things which could be improved. Now I see you followed the advices and they came out very good. Clean and smooth painting and good highlighting and shading. Well done :-)
IG88
Hi, Very nice Mr. Coldsteal. The Demon looks great, I really like the golden armor, looks nice and worn, good job. As the others said nice job on the tattoo on the lady, I painted one of these and could not make her face look good for the life of me. You did a great job. Actually these are a couple of the more realistic mini's Ive seen as of late. Bright colors are great but these are darker real world tones, a couple fighters that have been around and don't have time to shine up their equipment every three seconds. Keep up the great work. Bodhi
With the last one you've achieved something I really can't put my finger on. I'll try anyway: In the unpainted sculpture - despite the dynamic pose and all - you somehow do not get a feeling of motion. But you've managed to make it look as if she's caught in a quick snapshot in the midst of a very aggresive motion. It's amazing really. I like the effect a lot. Kitsune
Good job on both of these minis! Though I like the bottom one the best, I really like how the skin came out on it. (Even though her nose is HUGE and bulbous! lol But that looks like the sculpting and not your work.) But great job! I also like how they seem more 'used'. The clean brights can look really good on some mini's, but these are definitely ones that needed the darker/dirtier 'I actually go around killing things' look. I can't wait till I can achieve that effect with the skin tones. I'm getting closer, but not quite there yet.
LordColdsteal
thanks everyone for the nice comments. I really struggle with the demon fellow, trying to get the armor right. I played with a lot of different paints until this one came together (no idea how I did it) The lady was really fun to paint, and i was bummed that her face wasn't a bit better (scupted). But, I wasn't going to let that get be down... so.. tattoo what you don't like.... thanks!

I wasn't going to comment on the facial sculpt from the front angle, but I do think that the profile is pretty. (and here I had what I do like tatooed )
