kristof65
Ok, now that I'm actually in process of building a Sisters of the Blade force, I feel I can weigh in on this one: To me, the Sisters just cry out for an alternate cavalry mount like a large (and I mean large) cat. No wimpy Tiger or Lion, but something massive, horse sized. Put a Barbie doll on a domestic house cat for a relative size comparison However, I see the point Melborune Mew Mew raised about wanting them on horses, too. So how about taking an approach that seperates mounts from riders, and could apply to several factions - offer several different mount models, IE, horses, cats, giant birds, lizards, etc and then seperate rider figures for a mix and match approach to cavalry. That way those of us who want alternate mounts can have them, while people like Melbourne can have their horses.

Kyderdog
Dwarf berserker grunts with 2 hand weapons. Plus some more powerful Hand to Hand Elf Grunts
joshuaslater
I think Warhammer has done the two weapon Dwarf berserker/Slayer thing already. Anything Reaper would do like this for Warlord would just be imitating. As for more powerful Elf grunts, the whole flavor and balance of the army is designed around shooting. That's their bag, baby, and having hard hitting elves in plate with big battle axes is not in Warlord. Chronopia, yes, Warlord, no.
Feanor
As a sub-list I want to see a High elf faction, a product of the Tirithilian war machine fast, deadly and arrogant (SP?). More armor less woodly goodly folk of the forest.
kristof65
If Reaper wants another take on Elves that doesn't seem like imitating something someone else has done, how about some Frost or Ice Elves? A sub-race of elves living in near arctic conditions would certainly develop their own set of quirks and unique abilities. (Ok, I admit to wanting Ice Elves because my RPG campaign world has a sub-race of Ice Elves that live in my world's equivilent of the Andes). I like elves, but I'm sick of all the variations of High/Wood/Dark elves that other games use. Of course, Taltos being a more sub-tropical environment, Ice Elves might not fit. The Just Wise Sage
I think Warhammer has done the two weapon Dwarf berserker/Slayer thing already. Anything Reaper would do like this for Warlord would just be imitating. Just to go slightly off topic, here, has anyone thought about what you'd do to create such figures? Over where I am, there a few Warhammers around whom might be persuaded to play Warlord if they could bring their old armies across. The main problem is of course not all the costs for abilities have been published. Alway what would you do to create a Dwarf Berserker/Slayer thing? At the moment I'd take a basic Dwarf Breaker and add fearless and tough (not sure how many levels but probably one) to represent a Troll Slayer. For a gaint slayer, there could be three types, a sergeant, an elite or a solo to fit in with the WH fluff. Obviously here, they're at least two damage tracks, perhaps three if an elite or solo. With Dis, MAV, DV,MD increasing by a point and maybe #MA Toughness is at least tough/2, again possibly more if a solo or elite Of course, according to the WH fluff, these guys have failed to die killing a troll so they are slightly more madder, so perhaps they should gain insane!, at least the elites and solos should. And maybe one or two of the following abilities 360, First Strike, warmaster, bloodlust As for a dragon slayer, same again but as a captain rather than a sergeant. Definately insane! by now and a good chance of having monster slayer (they killed at least two monsters now, if not more) Thoughts?
jdripley
Going off of the Lupine ideas from a month ago on this thread: I like the idea of shapeshifting Lupines with 2 sculpts and 2 cards. If this is done I think that the 2 forms should fill 2 roles. If you have a human form fighter that can shapeshift into a Lupine fighter, why ever use the human form, since the Lupine form would fight better? But if you had a human form archer which transformed into a Lupine fighter, then you'd have good reasons to use each form. A natural combination would be human form Reachers which transform into Lupine fighters - so you back up your allies until they go down, then you go into wolf form and rip throat after they fall. The elves are our "high elves", wood elves live in the Woodspike forest, and grey elves (the ones that are left) don't have a homeland any more ever since Malvernis wiped them out. Multiple forms and cards is something we've been looking at for the Lupines for a while now (better part of the year anyway). Nothings final yet though. ::)

Since I haven't read the lupine fluff in the core book yet, I'll be doing that tonight, or the fluff in the crusader book... Does anyone know if Lupines in human form are human sized, or are they large(giant) humans? I want to see some Lupines with Small Balistas serving them as crossbows. Due to Lupine speed I don't know if they would ride something, but it would be cool to see a Lupine on a flying mount. Maybe a Wyvern or some other Huge winged creature. I want to see a Lupine Monk. Wrapped in loose garments, ready to crack open an overlord skull with a powerful kick.

Does anyone know if Lupines in human form are human sized, or are they large(giant) humans? From the published fluff, the Lupines are shapeshifting members of a human clan called the Koborlas. Theres not a whole lot, but there is some backround in the core book right next to the data card of Lupine lord, shaman, and rager.
joshuaslater
I'm glad there is thinking the Lupines will be fleshed out this way; they may be seen by some as cheaper knockoffs of the Confrontation Wolfen otherwise.
