Heisler
Lili mentioned that she was teaching on Thursday at our painting workshop today.

Qwyksilver
I am betting they turn the unofficial meet and greet day into an official meet and greet. If they keep pushing it back sooner into the week that would cut into their preparation/production/clean up time. My guess is Thursday, doors open mid afternoon, like 3-ish until 8-ish for folks to come in see the place, figure out where HQ is, meet folks, grab a bite, get their registration packets, etc. No official events until Friday morning. That's just my speculation. Thursday will be a full, regular day of events, AFAIK. Wow. I didn't think you'd be starting in full swing that first day. Cool! The poor teachers are going to be beat by the end of the weekend. Of course, this also opens up more time for the tournies and other events so people won't have to decide between a class and a tourney. And maybe even participate in both CAV and Warlord! Sergeant_Crunch
Or the teachers may get to participate in other things besides teaching.
cutebutpsycho
Yeah! I might even get to participate in dungeon crawl or paint and take this year. Last year, all I got to do was take classes-not that I didn't enjoy it 'cause I sure did, but I took 12 hours of classes in 2 days. My head was spinning by the end. I wanted to participate in the crawl, but I promised the friend I brought with that we could go to the ren fest Sunday, so I couldn't have taken part in the auction anyway. Speed painting would have been fun to try too, but classes got in the way of that one. Now I just have to see what I can do about a flight Wednesday afternoon and I'll be one happy camper. Heisler
Everybody should play in the Dungeon Crawl at least a couple of times. How else are you going to get anything from my Auction on Sunday? Just think of all the potential loot you will be passing up by not playing. Sergeant_Crunch
Hmm, well it turns out that IS the weekend my brother-in-law is graduating. Woohoo! I'll be there with two of the Crunch-hordelings. Ok, now to figure out what I'm going to put off until the last minute to paint for the contest..... Orchid_Noir
I'm pretty sure that we can find a place to stay, we might even be able to arrange to make the drive, too.
Spike
So.. by "full regular day of events" are we to assume that means things will start well before lunchtime? The reason I'm asking is that we'll be driving out, and our vacation time is scarce. I'd not want to take Wednesday off and buy an extra night of lodging if Thursday events begin later. BUT... if things begin at 9 am Thursday morning, you can bet your sweet ~~ we'll be there. It looks fairly likely the usual Georgia-gang will all be coming..perhaps with a new recruit or two. Reaper User Vaitalla Posted December 11, 2006 Reaper User Share Posted December 11, 2006 Things are not finalized yet by any means, but it is currently looking as though Thursday lunch will be an Official Meet 'n' Greet with some food provided. Classes will start in the afternoon around 3 p.m. Other event schedules we have no idea about yet. Supper will have a break scheduled in but unfortunately we won't have Sonic yet so the multitudes can scamper off to eat wherever (lots of restaurants and fast foods within driving distance). Friday and Saturday are full days, lunch and dinner breaks should be scheduled in. Sunday will be the usual half day, wrapping up around 4 p.m. Again, it's not official 'till we finalize the schedule, but there's a rough idea. There may well be events all day Thursday; I can only volunteer info on the classes. Speaking of which...time to start a new thread!! --Anne
haldir
glad to see your gonna make Sgt C, might have to pick your brain for camo patterns, ha ha & yes the Dungeon Crawl was fun, only played 1 time but I was able to come out of the auction with Lazslo's speed paint mini with only using like 23 or so Reaper bucks (bucks you earn at the Dungeon Crawl). might have to play more games, just to have fun playing games. (put my vacation time in Friday, ha ha the grocery manager (who I'm good freinds with) said "No vacation requests until after the 1st of the year", I was like don't worry this is for May he gave me that wide eye look like HUH???? can't wait!!! even with 5+ months away maybe I'll have something painted by then, HA HA HA HA RM

Her response- "I just want you to have fun and I'm glad you found a creative outlet." Gentlemen, timing is EVERYTHING.
