Heisler
The registration for Genghis Con XXVIII and the painting conference is underway. You can take a look at all the events and even register online at http://www.denvergamers.com . I have managed to drag Anne (yes, Foerster) kicking and screaming into another Colorado winter so she can spread her painting knowledge to the masses. I promise I use only padded shackles. Since I promised not to work Anne 16 hours a day I managed to line up some really, really good backup instructors to help shoulder the load. Lili Troy will be on hand teaching classes, including her famous faces and skin tone class (twice in case you need it). Sorry she is not allowed to bring her slayer swords to the con, convention policy you know. Doug Jones will also be present, brush in hand, to spread his own knowledge on painting techniques. Although he doesn't have any slayer swords yet he does have several Golden Demons and took in Best in Show at Reaper Con 2006. I think he knows what he is doing. Phil Esterle will be there (he gets the regular shackles) I believe this will be his first time teaching so be gentle. After all his first place wins at Reaper Con 2006 I'm pretty sure he also knows what he is doing despite his protests to the contrary. I'm breaking him in for Anne for Reaper Con. I'm keeping the class sizes small so head to the website, take a look and sign up.

mattmcl
I just sent my registration stuff, I assume I can add classes that might get added by sending more moola via paypal?
Heisler
Yes, no problem with that.
kristof65
How accurate is everything else on the website for Ghengis? I can't tell how much of the stuff there is from 2006 and how much is current. At this point, the only confirmation I have that anything there is current is the painting stuff you just posted. I'd like to get registered for a couple of those classes, but don't want to register for other events that may/may not be "real"
Heisler
The only thing wrong right now is that someone forgot to upload the pdf of the new booklet. All the events listed under Genghis Con are current for the 2007 convention.
kristof65
Thanks. Still haven't gotten a response on the DGA list. Is the Warlord Dungeon Crawl still on for Ghengis as well? You mentioned over in the Warlord forum that you wouldn't be doing the Tourney this time around, but did mention there would be a Dungeon Crawl, which I can't seem to find the even number for. Heisler
No the Dungeon Crawl is not on the site yet. I still have to find a time when I can fit it in with my schedule, but I will be running it. Which DGA list did you send a question to? kristof65
The yahoo groups one - not House of Dragons. Right before I posted here - so I'm just being impatient, not that they aren't replying.

Humansquish
Why is everything so far away?!
kristof65
Why is everything so far away?! Salt Lake to Denver is only a little over an eight hour drive. Of course, if you're not in SLC, it could be much longer. There are also usually reasonable airfares between Denver and SLC - Frontier quite often has them for $129-$149 Roundtrip if you catch a sale. I've had to fly on business quite a few times between here and there, and they are usually the most reasonable flights I've had for business trips. pae
Must have missed the last upload. Your classes will be there tonight then. Still nothing on either the website or in the PDF. Have the paper booklets already been printed?
